Definitely not for me, I think people for whom this would ruin anything take themselves (and music) a tad too seriously 😅 For a slightly different take on having fun with this, may I recommend Van Canto's cover of "Wishmaster"? (no idea how links are handled here, but just search YT for "van canto wishmaster"). And no, it's not some mocking fringe stuff, Tarja joined them quite happily during one of their performances (do the official video though, the live recording has pretty low quality) 😊

Nope, its just really funny. Personally as a non native english speaker, for me most of the times i even don't care at all about lyrics and see vocals just as another instrument and the lyrics are just there to carry the voice. The good thing about that is also that i have no problems with "bad lyrics", what in german is often the problem because there i can hardly ignore it, while in other languages i can just switch to the "voice as instrument" mode.

If it’s the first time you’re hearing this song you probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference since you can’t understand the words anyway.

Well, kind of, because since I watched this the first time, I haven't been able to hear the real lyrics ever again 😂But it's fun for sure. Some of the lyrics are clearly "forced", and I can't hear nothing like that, but that didn't bother so much 16 years ago when I watched it the first time.

Bam Margera of Jackass gave them some recognition in the USA due to getting a tattoo including HIM logo and even getting acquainted with Valo. I know it happenwd during a CKY era (pre-Jackass), but still.

The naked guy is Ville Valo from his band, HIM, Finnish superstars, now disbanded, but Ville just recently released a solo record...which sounds just like HIM... which i.think you guys would actually like! Its metal...but all the songs are love songs!

Those lyrics are just hilarious 😂 and your laughter is infectious. I think is not necessarily always about that she mispronounces words, she just sings them really fast and in a operatic style. (Especially in Wishmaster) And the picture that you first thought was Tuomas is actually Ville Valo from the band HIM.

Glad you liked it! There is misheard lyrics in a lot of pop and rock songs, especially when English is not your native language. There are tons of misheard lyrics videos on RU-vid, however this one is from 16 years ago and I am pretty sure that this was the first one.

Somehow related, you should check out the European metal bands that don't take themselves too serious. They make great music with sometimes silly videos. You should check out the following bands: Nonowar of Steel, Electric Callboy, Feuerschwanz or Angux McSix (I mean what can be more silly than laser shooting dinosaurs)

Most of the "misheard words" are not because of an accent, but a purpose thought kinda similar words that could be funny, minor of the words are fuzzy pronounced. Picture was of the band HIM lead singer Ville Valo, not of Tuomas (hence there is a horizontal arrow to the picture and a word "HIM)..

A real fan would not be too lazy to take out the booklet with the lyrics, at least to check if the lyrics of the song are THAT weird. 2. A hater of instrumentals and guitar/keyboard solos.
