18 light years ago... This is a best Nightwish years. In 2000 i listen this band at the first time.... OceanBorn and Wishmasters albums. For me it is a Pure Nightwish sound. Without a big stages and withaout a big money.
You are absolutely right...the best sound and era. Things started to change in 2001 onwards. When bigger stages and money come ... old harmony, internal chemistry with noble and modest principles will suffer are there will be some people surfing around who do not do any good for you. However, I think Tuomas has been able to keep his legs quite well on the ground without becoming a much different person as he was earlier. This is something to be respected.
Wow, they were really fucking tight even back then. They look so funny in this video. Like a bunch of kids with instruments. Aside from the bass player, none of them looked like your typical rock musician. It's hard to believe that such an amazing band had such humble beginnings.
