Floor is doing the growls - the woman is a vocal swiss army knife, all the tools are there from belts to rock/grit to opera, from classical /musical theatre to pop to growls (both as vocal fry or false folds). Her breath control and incredible stamina is the foundation for it all, and her habit of embodying the song's narrative to add texture, and overall stage presence and craft, makes it no wonder at all she is mesmerising to watch. Not to take away from the other elements of a great band - the musicianship and the composition, the staging and the sense of sheer pleasure you seem to sense from the band members at playing together. Whether they do or not isn't for us - but it *looks* like they are having terrific fun. And the lyrics of this song are meaningful and intelligent - and most timely as an appeal to turn away from the cheap and easy dopamine hits of being a hateful troll online.

Floor gets all the glory and it’s not undeserved, but Marko is a vocal beast, too! They’re so perfect together.

Tuomas says, "we need some growls in this one, anybody?" Floor raises her hand!

Yup, that was our angelic Floor doing those deep growls. It's fun watching reactors clue in about half way through when they think it's all Marko and then the penny drops. I could see your wheels turning . . . Floor can cut in and out of a growl effortlessly, often on the same breath. In "Face Your Demons" she goes clean-growl-clean on one breath. In "Misery's No Crime" she cuts between an operatic head voice and a growl in the span of a single note. I don't know if there's anyone else in the business who can pull that off. Most bands would require three singers to cover her style range. What's actually more difficult is that deliberately off pitch siren section. To swing from being a bit off pitch to on pitch, then back to off pitch, takes some significant skill. And she's off pitch precisely.

Loved your reaction and many, many reactors can't bring themselves to believe that Floor is growling and then singing such ethereal moans during the mid-song breakdown. It is clear to distinguish who makes the growls here. From a logical point of view. One hear Marco's clean voice through the whole song, he can't possibly make two different sounds at the same time and one sees Floor moving her mouth but doesn't hear a woman's voice. So what is logically left? Floor makes the growls. I have no idea how it is possible not to be able to hear (and see) that. So many reactors don't realize this. I can hardly understand why normal people do not hear this, but absolutely incomprehensible if people who are directly involved with music do not recognize it. But it is really embarrassing when so-called vocal coaches do not recognize this. The real ones do.
