Not a bad video at all Enzo! You did a pretty good job explaining Nihilism in simple terms for individuals who do not study philosophy or to those who are starting out as a vague concept. Another way you could explain is from the language origin and the root word. If you separate nihil, that is Latin for nothing or "does not exist" in this instance. Thanks for doing my suggestion!

Great video! A couple fun facts about Nihilism. While most of us learned about Nihilism from Nietzsche, the term was actually coined by the German mystic J.H. Obereit in 1787 and popularized in the German tradition by F.H. Jacobi. Obereit and Jacobi argued that rationalism led to nihilism, because reason led one to doubt everything: God, the external world, and even one’s own existence! Jacobi argued that the only escape from nihilism was to accept the limits of reason and turn to faith in God. Jacobi’s argument was *extremely* influential in German philosophy, and this debate would ultimately inform Nietzsche’s later philosophy, and the traditions of existentialism and absurdism. I really enjoyed your exposition of these topics! Thanks for touching on all three. Your presentation style is really easy to listen to and the memes are on point. I just subbed, and I’m looking forward to the next video! 😊 P.S. The best book on German nihilism before Nietzsche is Frederick Beiser’s “The Fate of Reason”
