Nihilum vs. Kael'Thas Sunstrider 

I did LK 25 heroic pugs. Keal'thas burned guilds to ash. He crushed them and even disbanded most guilds because he was that hard. Nothing can compare TBC with WLK and later expansions. TBC was great because it was hard, and casual players thought 5mans and questing was enough. They didn't QQ every second for epic items. 2005 (EU release) to 2008 was my best gaming experience ever. Vanilla and TBC, will always remember that time.

I see a lot of people wanting to go back and relive their experiences in TBC....I felt the same way so I started searching. Turns out, there's a private server (excalibur-wow) that is very blizzlike and has almost all bosses fully functional. There's about 200 players playing at any time.

Brings a tear to my eye. Here's to the good old days.

Exactly. Thanks for proving my point. People are comparing the NORMAL modes of today to the raids from TBC, whereas they should compare HEROIC to them. Raids in TBC were designed around having the first few bosses easy into-bosses, and heavily ramp up the difficulty towards the end boss. Raids today have two difficulties instead of making several loot piñatas for the good players.

I have to say I don't think the game will ever be as epic as it was throughout most of TBC and late vanilla.

I remember when you earned ANY epic in vanilla WoW it was an achievement in itself...then it was merely handing them out in Lich King. The game used to be a challenge. TK will always be an epic fun instance...lots of good memories there.

One of the most challenging fights in TBC I would call it, but yet one the most funniest after all the progression time you spent corpse running. Good Memories!

The black scarab mount is only obtained by the person who opens the AQ gates, they also get the title Scarab Lord. Not 3 people have it on your server, its impossible.

That is possible mate. It just requires a person who've obtained the mount/title on his/her original server to transfer to another one, where a second person has obtained the mount/title. I play on Draenor-EU. I think there are 3 with the Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal.

oh yea, sunwell was magnificent... till this day may favorite raid in WoW, not only were the boss fights unforgettable but the scenary was amazing

vanilla wow was an amazing experience, but tbc was really a refined vanilla, and i have to say my favorite expansion.

Samurailord, Wotlk could only be explained as "Hard" iff blizzard didnt nerf everything twice a week, they are doing this now so that everyone can see the content and get the gear to do it, for EG, you can get tier 9 without doing ToTc 25, or t8 without doing ulduar, making wotlk more sociable than hardcore

My favourite fight of tbc by far (I would say wow as a whole, but I started and finished playing the game when this expansion was zeitgeist), I am very frustrated that in all this time no high pop well scripted tbc servers exist; even though I have already done this in retail; a chance to repeat would make me very happy indeed.

Nope mate, when (NOTE in the new servers ) the servers are opened you have to finnish the quest "Banging the gong"(? im not sure was it that) and then return the qwithin 10hours, and everyone doing this will get the mount and title.

Nihilum are not renowned for their PVP success, just their world first kills on all end raid instance bosses from C'thun to Illidan. When Nihilum had the opportunity to get themselves recognised for PVP skill, they got beaten by Millenium in 5 exhibition 5v5 arena matches

Well - Those that play WoW aint play CS. SK is a club that gather all talented players to play for them. Neg, Thygore (of the tanks in SK) was from Nihilum.

i agree to a certain extrent. But dont forget that we havent seen the "sunwell" of wotlk yet. Algalon is already quite tough. And so is Yogg+0. You can bet that Icecrown heroic hardmodes will be as hard as sunwell was.

I still think that Nihilum is better then SK. It is a fact that Nihilum has taken World First on almost every boss since Kel'Thuzad. And the match between Nihilum vs. SK in SWP wasn't fair IMO. Nihilum had lost a lot of core members like Awake who didn't play in Nihilum anymore, and Landolph, who quited raiding one week before the gates to KJ opened. But still, this dosn't change the fact that SK were the best guild during the SWP period. Sry for the bad english ;)

The music used in Nihilum's (Ensidia) fights should be the music for the encounter not the same shit from other zones or instances.

u cant get the black qijar mount anymore...and it never dd drop off c`thun..u had to do a long quest line to open the gates of aq and only the first person that got it done would get the mount

Kael'thas prenerf was probably a little more hard than most of sunwell prenerf (other than M'uru), just from personal opinion I think Kael before nerf and before badge gear and shit was def. the hardest.

Many of you guys don't know and are flaming there that "i pugged tk at tbc end" like no shit it was pugable with good ppl but. kael got so many nerfs after like 2 guilds downed him. He was the one of the hardest boss on tbc. Only bosses who were harder then kael was muru.

Blzzard should make completely diffrent servers closed only for patches to TBC or pre-TBC.(no shit DK's and so on) I'm 100% sure those servers would have at least 200% of WoTLK population. Whoever agree thumb this comment up...

Well, its probably boring IF you've heard it 100 times from wipes. But for people like me that skipped to Hyjal before getting to fight him, its cool to see.

TBC was amazing. i remember being dead set on quitting WoW after busting my life getting Rank 14. But once i saw the Dark Portal as the TBC login screen i was incredibly shocked and had to start playing. But Wrath took it to another level.. everything was well written/scripted and dialogue/lore wise was excellent.. and raiding was fun and easy. you could easily make ur own raid and pug simply every week, you didn't have to stand up to no expectations whatever. Own time Own target.
