Most epic kill video in history. The intro being epic AF, the transition straight into trance that builds as the boss builds. Just doesn’t get any better than this. Have probably watched this 100x over the years and it sends chills still.
This looks like I wrote it. The SK Gaming era was really something special. Imo they are the best guild to ever exist. Ive watched This video and their Muru kill vid like you said hundreds of times.
i dont know how many times over the years i have watched this video but let me say the music that accompanies this video just seems to fit so perfect to what is going on in the fight i love it and the end where everyone celebrates the kill made me feel like the first raid boss our guild took down in the day Great Vid :D
Amazing moments wouldn't be amazing if they were repeated. Then they would just be moments. But fear not - other amazing moments are ahead, big and small. Cherish each.
@@sherrix6881 Kill is a kill. We were not a HC guild back in the days. Just a casual raiding guild. We were still happy at the end and that is all that matters. :)
Ten years later and I'm still coming back to this. This was the best 'race' I think there ever will be. So much on dethroning Nihilum as the kings of raiding, and in an amazingly difficult raid at the end of an amazing expansion. You can hear all this coming out in their screams. Always wished as a kid to experience the work --> joy in this video.
lol same here man. I did get to experience this raid and many before. I played from day 1 of release until wrath came out. vanilla and tbc was some of if not the best video gaming I've ever done. clearing MC, BWL, AQ, sunwell, killing illidan...oh my god, it was such an amazing game that I'll never forget. cheers!
Still get the chills from this video. I'm such a vanilla/tbc sucker. I've really tried the other expansions. Picked up the game once WotLK, once at Cata and once at MoP, but always found myself disappointed. Yes, I'm sure there's some amazing content that I haven't gotten to, but I just miss the community and hard work aspect too much. The reward of getting good blue or epic gear just doesn't come close to back in the days. I know. Boss mechanics were simple, but it doesn't mean bosses were easy. It required hard work, the best gear (which was so goddamn rare) and a lot of farming (flasks/potions, anyone?). As a healer going OOM was regular business every combat encounter, even with high tier gear at naxx or at sunwell. Yes, button rotations were BOOOORING. But heck, in the end, downing a boss with 40 man, or a unreachable boss for 70% of the server like Illidan and sunwell bosses, was just simply legendary. Sorry, I'm going on a rant and I'm probably a real typical "omgbackindadayz"-guy, but I can't help myself!
+seburbje True words bro. Sad thing that it's gone forever. TBC WoW was amazing... but there's no point in trying to replicate it, the window for that has passed. Consider yourself lucky you were part of that masterpiece. Personally I still liked WOTLK because I had big success in arena and made some good friends but I agree, it's where blizz fucked up. The thrill of the (at the time) hard heroic dungeons/raids, the way you could really get lost in grinding, the goosebumps when finally getting a shot at a raid for the first time, ever perfecting your gear, the community and the way you made friends...that's where the magic of WoW was. They always state that the fact that 90% didn't see the high end raids was a flaw, but it actually made it epic that there always was still something totally unexplored far far out there...
+seburbje simple thing wow back in tbc were just much better, playing dungeons which not dodging skills damages you for 5% is just no fun and the rest is pretty whack imo aswell
Nine months later I am watching this video again. After 10 years I could not resist the temptation of playing on Nostalrius. Up until the shutdown in recent april I have been playing on Nostalrius for nearly 6 months. Clearing all content and gearing up for AQ40, I can say that it was not simply nostalgia. Of course it was different doing it for the second time, knowing the encounters. But the good times were relived and the "vanilla is just nostalgia" argument was debunked.
‘Alright bro, gotta call it a night we’ve been going for 17 hours straight!’ ‘Sure thing bro! Same again tomorrow yeah?’ ‘Always mate! Cya.’ Last online 10 years ago.
Just from his voice alone you can see Kale goes on a journey. At first you are just heros to help fight the big bad. Then as you despair and take losses he comes to realize the same love he feels for Anveena the heros feel for each other and their world. He digs deep and makes a rallying cry, not only proclaiming his love to the world but letting her go in the same sentence. I'll always come back to this video for that, such an incredible feeling of loss, yet of conviction. You can hear the loss in his voice when he says "while he is weakened Vanquish the Deceiver" To give the heros hope, and to save the world he gave up his hope, and his world, his love.
I think I found this vid many years ago and my opinion is still the same about it. 3 things will make this video one of the (if not THE) best game vids out there: - top performance guild's world first competing against others - in an era where gaming itself and WoW was still new, with millions of players - in a video where the kill is really smooth and the music goes so well (especially the second) with the ingame scenes and ingame voices that its almost like it was made for this. Ive seen so many vids/fragmovies from other games including WoW/UT2004/Quake/CS/CoD...but with this I actually have goosebumps. And that fcking scream at the end. That is how you know that time this game was at its top and this what they achieved here it meant something. Top performance. Never anything will come close to this era again when it comes to the atmosphere of gaming. Nowadays you wont see things like this.
Watched this in may or june of 2008 (on another channel :> ). And after long 6 years i still love this great video and rewatch when im nostalgic! Thnx for it! :)
Федор Портков Yeah same, the the music choice was awesome to go with it. Such nostalgia for TBC even looking back and realizing it was broken as fuck for class balance. But I played a BM hunter as a main and a Shadow Priest as a mana battery as alt, back then so fuck it. I still got invited to all the raids for him
+HorusHeresy1982 problem is, class balance might be better overall in WoD, but this constant stride for everything to be equal with everything has made WoW boring as fuck. Every class is not the same but is the same at the same time, if that makes sense. I still had way more fun in TBC/Wotlk and even CAta than MoP and WoD ( thought MoP had good raids and imbalanced bUT FUN PvP, unlike WoD who just had good raids ).
I still get so emotional towards the end of this fight with the music and voice acting and the emotion you can just feel from the group, this being one of the most difficult of all time challenges and greatest triumphs ever for a guild.
haha i feel so pathetic but i get the exact same thing. sunwell was the best raid of what has (imo) been the best game. the voice acting was amazing and i still remember the sunwell days like it was yesterday.
Played TBC and Sunwell pre-nerfs and can honestly say the game was at it's prime, I still come back to watch the videos too from time to time! Fucking amazing expansion!
I'm still watching this video, almost every day. It brings me back to the beginning of WoW. Wandering all the ancient area's with friends, area's which are almost forgotten now and friends who were last online for more than 10 years ago. Those were the days. Damn Alex MORPH made a masterpiece, perfectly fits with this bossfight. I am still playing this game. trying to get every mount, every achievements, every item and having a blast of fun. even tho I'm more into the classic playstyle of this game. Take care guys and let's meet in Azeroth and stay there 'till the last servers shut down.
These old raid videos were the best. I think it’s seeing content that was completely out of my scope was just so magical. Nowadays watching a Sire Denathrius video just doesn’t have the same effect cause I can just hop into LFR and see it for myself.
The brutal, hectic, chaotic, beautiful, galvonizing, gloryd days of World of Warcraft. I miss raiding in these times and have some great memories, but could never play a game that demanded so much and such is getting old but I will always look back on with fond memories.
"anveena.. i love you, focus on my voice, come back for me now! only you can cleanse the sunwell!" "kalec... kalec?" "yes anveena, let fate embrace you now!" "the nightmare is over! the spell is broken! goodbye kalec my love" this dialogue brings a tear to my eyes:) it's so beautiful, the fight is beautiful, what a game it was back then:)
Player from end of BC to end of Wotlk. Hands down one of the best videos I have watched/listened to related to WoW. On my drive back home from work, I shed tears just listening to Anveena and Kalec talk in-game. Omg, unbelievable. The video/sound editor was awesome, really.
This video got me both into WoW and into Trance in 2007. How time flies....still a great video, music is as always epic and my class for these 13 years, the warlock, shining in it's full fame and glory. Magnificent.
I have watched this video the first time, when I was a noob on retail back in the day - and it blew my mind. Back then I didn't know much about the game besides that I was addicted. 8 years later I return to play TBC on the best inofficial server today (Excalibur WoW) and after 1 year I am facing Kil Jaedn myself with a very able Pv guild. I am a Mage, pulling 3300 dps on Brut and I now know every trick and rotation optimation there is and I am listening to Walk the Edge while we are fighting against Kil'Jaedn ;) Thank you for this experience, Blizzard, SK Gaming, Excalibur WoW and Alex Morph (and my guild Shiny Loot). I cant put into words the feeling I have when listening to this
Anybody who was around at this time knows how epic this kill was, and how important this world first was - you can hear it in the screams, there has never been another tier with nerd screams like that - pure adrenalin.
Probably 8:24 is one of the best moments I've seen on a boss kill video, even in 2020. I hope one day we will have the oficial TBC servers that (for now) are just a rumor. Maybe we cannot experience something so epic as this video, but we could play one of the best expansions of this game.
Still the best pve video ever produced for many reasons. Crazy to think this many years later that this was the pinnacle of WoW. Lets hope someday that changes.
anyone who raided back then and fought m'uru or kil'jaeden before the wotlk prepatch 2008(?) will never forget this feeling and it is and remains unmatched to this day
Game was great during the original three (Classic/BC/Wrath), I remember when stuff like this was a big deal, I mean just hearing someone cleared it. After Wrath people generally don't seem to care anymore, whether it's because the game has spiked downwards in quality, it's just a different era of the internet, or even just a cultural shift I don't know, but it's interesting if not sad to see.
@@MasterJoni I’m not slagging it off dude, the early work is very precious to me. I meant the evolution of acting such as Garrosh or Algalon. I don’t waste my time with the current “product”
Lady Liadrin's voice actor changed since then. Now it's more of an american, rugged accent. But the way she says "Blessed ancestors..." and realizing later the lore importance of what we were actually doing here, actually cleansing the actual Sunwell, will stay with me forever! :D Velen's voice actor is the same but he polished it a bit too, it's still pretty close.
I used to work with Morphling at the same supermarket. The shit he pulled there was far more legendary than his dps here, which is still epic. Hats off to you Jellyjar. (You know what I'm talking about)
