I think the reason why people were so concerned about hearing what was going on with Selen was because there had been no updates for so long. Even a small thing would have been enough to calm concerns, but it was the fact that Niji was radio silence and not even her friends knew what was happening that bothered people, and why people wanted to know that she was okay. It wasn't that she was offline, it was the fact that she was basically MIA for a month.

from everything I've heard about Ninji and Any, their staff are actively sabotaging the company and no one higher up is attempting to stop them. the situation also got worse after this video was posted.

I find it amusing that people call the Nijikuro and Selen/Doki incident as drama, when only 1 side is really being dramatic about the whole thing. Doki has been quite adamant that she just wants to move on, that everyone should be nice to everyone and to leave it to the lawyers. She's doing everything within her power to not cause any drama and only speaks out when Nijisanji kicks up the dirt in her direction and even then, she's not flinging mud (yet). However, everything from Nijikuro can't be described any better than as drama. I understand she wants to move on and be the bigger person, and it's working because she's not dancing to Nijikuro's tune like they want her to... but all the mud-flinging from Nijikuro is starting to make, at least me, hope she throws some of that mud back at them.

The thing that was weird was that none of the other livers mentioned about her. If your colleague is in the hospital, you would expect the other livers to at least saying we’ve contacted her and she’s doing well. However, they weren’t even doing that. Which kinda indicated to us that things aren’t that simple and something fishy is going on. Plus, Nijisanji has had a bad history of having radio silence then a sudden graduation or a sudden termination, so it was natural people would of speculated something.

The stock thing is true, a day or a week drop of 10% is negligible considering how the market works. Against public morals, the way the supply demand works makes it so when the stock price drops more people buy from it thus a market rebound. However something we can do aside from a boycott is raise hell so bad that they lose ALL sponsors and collaborators as a whole, which is incredibly difficult to do against a multinational company. I think that aside from financially starving them, we would have to play the long game of actively trying to stop their growth. Such as not participating in the new debuts, stop giving them SCs and Merch, elaborating the situation in other branches to try get them on our side. Ofc theres also awareness campaigns constantly reminding everyone, but that shtuff dont fly in JP, where their defamation and copyright laws are out the wazoo.

About those livers that you mentioned at the end, at least one one of them was confirmed to have come to Japan in a work visa a few days before the termination and according to Japanese law regarding work visas, is that if someone gets fired or quits while they are under a work visa, they have to find a new job in 3 months or else they get deported, and as you might know the job market everywhere is fucked, so you can guess what might be happening behind close doors

Also in regards to the stock aspect, it's because it's the stock had such a sudden drop with in a week's time. It was a significant drop in stock valuation in a such a fast time. Even if it doesn't affect them long term, their continued negative reputation will, and that will be the thing that continues to hurt their stock, especially as they lose partners and they're EN branch shrinks.

The sad thing is that there was a very easy solution to this problem. You post the initial hospitalization notifications on the official Nijisanji twitter account, and then, *before dropping the termination notice,* you post, again on the official account, that after some discussions with Selen, that it has been decided she should Graduate for her mental and physical well-being, THEN you post the what would now be "Graduation" notice. Bam. Fans are happy, they know she's ok, they get sad of course, because "aww, my fave Vtuber is graduating, that's a bummer", but they'll be happy because they know "she must have had a pretty serious accident, good on the company for letting her step away like that." It's a PR Slam Dunk. You calm the fanbase, make yourself look like the good guy, and it lets her leave peacefully, like she clearly wanted to. But instead we have... _waves hand at the whole situation_ ...This absolute trainwreck of a situation. One that Nijisanji somehow keeps finding ways to make worse!

The latest is as follows: Elira, Vox and Ike made a video or "stream" about it going "she deserved it but don't harass her", the CEO made an apology video looking angry the whole time and Doki put out new information including revealing a second attempt. Scarle seems to be reactivating her PL account and both Rosemi and Petra are still away. There has been speculation that Scarle will be leaving followed by Rosemi. I sure hope Rosemi leaves, I didn't like withdrawing my membership.

Not sure if you can call the music video for the vover the final straw. Lilipichu DMed the permission for the cover in August 2022. The vid was an ongoing project since that point. Depending on your take Management was getting in the way there or didn't do shit around it

On alternate statements of health that is a bit tricky, say she had a car accident and is awake but recovering. A general and more thought out "Selen is on Hiatus due to her recent hospitalization her health is improving, we hope the best for her and support her, we will update when we can" the alternate where she is no awake and there is no permission given.....that is difficult, silence as shown breeds worry as shown. On stocks, I am not into stocks (wish I could) but like Rave I took a level headed look at Nijisanji Stocks over the last year, it is up and down like a yoyo with the current low being above their overall years lowest. So like Rave said its not the big deal everyone wishes it was, we also have to take into country economy and currency exchange. I follow the Yen as I buy from Japan and like a weak Yen naturally. The Yen is down and like my own country (UK) Japan has just tipped into recession. All of these are factors in seeing the Stocks do as they do.
