No lie I first them on Rachel from Friends she had on the Nike Air Max 96 Black/Purple Color which tbh was HARD FUCK to FIND FOR ME when they rereleased them in 2016....The Scream Green are the ones I need. If you want check out the Nike Air Max 96 XX White/Teal n White/Navy very comfortable shoe....It was Dad shoe way ahead of its time.....

Air maxes in general have always been massively popular in the UK. If you ask anyone what shoe they think of when they think on the UK, its probably TNs, 95s or 97s. I remember reading an article that showed the shoes worn by the most criminals in the UK in the mid 2000s were the air max 95 haha

I wonder how the 97 hold up in popularity vs other models. It seems like everyone has a favorite. Right now the 270 and 720s seem to be everywhere where I live. Something about these classic silhouettes keeps people to copping the retros and putting them into rotation. Great content.

The 95’s-98’s are my high school era so that pocket of time will be my favorite lines of shoe. But I do like the future of the shoe game so I do like the new 720 line. I’m not a fan of the 270 but a lot of people are. But low key the 270 are at Ross all the time and those are the shoes that go on sale in the outlets first.

I’m sure the essentials were made specifically for JD sports brand (foot asylum etc) I never copped them coz JD always get cheap low quality versions made my OG triple blacks looks soooo clean and high quality next to a triple black SE versions.

I had the first edition as a kid back in 97, for me still the best edition, the silver colorway was super smooth kinda greyish, the mesh where the swoosh is was made of metal and I really loved the PSI imprints in the sole. It is hard to say but after 2000 the Airmax 97 become more cheap regarding the actually quality of the shoe and more expensive in the price. I always miss the little details from the early versions.

I have got a pair of 97s, I paid 180$(18700 rsd) for them but they cost 220$(23400 rsd). These shoes are very popular in my country(Serbia), maybe even the most popular air max in Serbia.

AF1 are one of the cleanest trainers. But the creasing kills me, i got some fly knit AF1s that don’t crease man and they are one of the best trainers I ever owned.

I really like the look of these, I was excited to try some on and had the chance to do so the other day. I really wanted to like them but I was so disappointed with the lack of comfort and I hated how they felt on feet. Turned me off the idea of getting a pair for myself, though I still appreciate the looks 😅

It didnt become cool again ,it was always cool in the hood we always wore um and brought um when rereleases happened ..what did happen in the past 2 years is all your young ig influencers and the white college students of lower manhattan started acting like they just started a new trend off a 20 yr old sneaker and started posting their outfits with the shoe and the new resurged air force 1 which was also another hood staple..now every ig girl and college student are posting like they made these things hott and they havent..air force 1s ive been wearing since about 1992 and air max 97s ive been wearing since 97 same goes for the 95s too..stop frontin and pay respects to the people that really kept this shoe going and made it a staple in the first dam place

Got a special AM97 Father of Air colorway to commemorate my 26th birthday (9/15) just yesterday since all the other stores ran out of 9.5 sizes, though it was the next day (the 16th) which sadly was one of the last few days my local mall was closing down with Finish Line being of them. Gonna miss my local mall.
