@@alvincorral7526 oh he gets Buck, I just mean with videos, he’s been filming and uploading like crazy and he could still upload the same amount of videos per week! But idk it just seems like if I were in his position I would already be super burnt out…
It’s amazing you still recorded even though you were sleepy, your creativity and drive is really inspiring. Don’t burn yourself out!! Take care of yourself
I live in pacoima and the 9stair middle rail was normal but cut by locals. There used to be a fire hydrant on the manny pad where the the dip is but got stolen. Ledges were also ruined by the new gen kids that go there.
I’m somewhat local to this park and I remember when they first built it the park was pretty solid and everything skated well. As time went by it wasn’t taken care of particularly well and made some obstacles a bit rough.Although it’s a bit rough it does give off more street vibes that way where nothing is perfect in the streets and you gotta really go for it to land some stuff. That rail was definitely swapped at some point. It was originally in the middle.
For someone who is a predominant street skater I’ve never seen someone who obsesses over every little aspect of each obstacle. For me skating Street was about making the trick work despite it not being the perfect skate park like set up. That is what makes it challenging and cool.
yes, so much, the same trick on a ledge looks way better when you have to ollie from a bit further out because of a crack and then nollie off a curb into light traffic. Perfect ledges and rails in x games and olympics produce something that feels more like ice skating.
Exactly. Growing up kids would skate in the little downtown area of my town and there was this loading dock we would do tricks off. This other group wouldn't skate it because they said the runway was too short. Just thought that was foreign... like what? This is the loading dock we have... we don't have another one... never gave a thought to its particulars
This is my hometown skate park. This place was crackin when it first opened in 2009. Now it's like a wasteland. This park also use to be a no go zone back in the day because of all the gangs that use to hang out there.
Bro I swear we’re all the same when we skate haha “okay one last try for real” *proceeds to try until close or lands it* 😂 great video man you’re skating is sick
Man it’s crazy to see that park the way it is now , I remember when nka vids would bring all the younger dudes to sesh there like Rene Serrano , Steven Fernandez etc.
Your videos are what I imagine to be a skater’s version of a *Better Help* therapy session. Came for the skating, stayed for the mental insight & commentary 👏🏻🛹🗣️💯
I've love getting to see grind you've been on. I feel like I can see that your level of skating has increased from where it was a year or two ago and I feel like there has been a more positive vibe to your videos lately too. I hope that means things in your life are better than where they were before and you keep that motivation.
the whole 9-stair + hubba area looks like it's straight out of skate 3, there was a prebuilt asset in the park creator that featured both spots together. It even included a similar gazebo top on it
Anyone else remember the ad he was in back in the day at this park? Had some colorful edits in it. I can’t find it anywhere. I used to love watching that all the time
That park looks nice but it’s actually kinda funky and hard to skate, and now it’s about 20 years old I think, so it’s pretty crunchy too. That 9 is no joke too. Great skating. 🔥🔥🔥
I am a track and field athlete and I have found over the years that I don’t feel the pain and discomfort that my teammates do when we are doing difficult, painful and strenuous workouts because I don’t give too much attention to the pain and still feel like I can do more while others feel that they can’t and won’t do more. So I agee that what you are saying is accurate.
If I remember correctly, this skatepark was a Lance Mountain Brainchild, and not necessarily P-Rod, although it certainly was a Nike SB project. There was an article written about it in Transworld when it was first built.
Definitely prod skate park I went for its grand opening on go skate day about 15 years ago. P rod senior was there. And it's in Pacoima not LA but no biggie
It’s sad that park is empty now I used to skate there almost everyday for years because I lived 2 blocks from it. The rail in the middle was cut by us. We used to start fires in the gap and the loading dock that’s why it looks dark and has holes now.
Wow! This is technically my home park. I never skate there because of the homeless, and prevalence of Mary J., but glad you got to shred it! Pedlow Skatepark in Encino and SCV Park in Santa Clarita are great options too!
You should go check out the skateparks in Bakersfield. There’s 3 and they each kind of have their own style to them. Heritage is kinda small though, so if you were going to skip one that’d be the one.
