Hey guys I would love to see you guys do some retro reviews from the Reebok Early to Mid 2000s Reebok ATR line, it gets forgotten a lot but there were a ton of Great performance shoes for Steve Francis, Jason Richardson, Baron Davis etc… I have a some deadstock models I would let you guys use for reviews too if you were interested.
I've always loved the Kobe line, and I have numerous shoes from it. I'm glad that Vanessa Bryant and Nike were able to reach a deal that benefits the family and the academy. What I don't like is the fact that there are people out there still charging ridiculous amounts of money for pairs! Hopefully, people will come to their senses. Not cool to continue to try and profit from someone's tragedy. Thanks for another entertaining video!
I got Three questions how long does it last/ how durable is it, is the traction good and lastly is the sole soft and if it is does it get stiff quickly
u absolutely right, i hate those resellers, prices up to $1000 or higher for a sneaker. They don´t buy it because of the love of the game or just for themselves to wear. Just to make money out of it. But another fact is, that Nike produces too less of em. Sold out in a few minutes. That is not correct. If there would be enough for everyone like in the 90´s. 2000´s there will be no hype on the internet. And Nike earns the money, not a damn reseller.
@@dontmesswithtexas77 first off Nike makes a torn of money already secondly your idea of resellers are wrong claiming that we only care about money is a stereotype we know more than most people about any shoe and sell them to make a living
I was disappointed that these werent mass produced or even pre-ordered (like a one per customer made to order type) especially if the first wave is going to the Mamba foundation - thought it was a huge miss by Nike.
Props to Vanessa Bryant for looking after Kobe’s Estate and advocating for more access to his line. I was hoping for Nike to have mass produced this shoe to have those proceeds donated to the Mamba & Mambacita Foundation. Great review as always!
I believe Nike did step up on the unit produces world wide (not sure about US). At least it was easier to cop than any other 6s protro before. I was able to cop mine via Nike and so as my most friend in Hong Kong.
These are definitely one of my favorite sneakers of 2022 , despite not being able to cop them. The Kobe 6 is one of my all time favorite non-Jordan sneakers and i like several colorways on that silhouette. These in particular are very clean and of course a very nice tribute to Kobe and his daughter Gigi. Great sneaker , though especially with Kobe's global icon status & legacy and Vanessa's fairly recent comments about wide availability ; these should have had much higher stock numbers to get them to as many people as possible. I hope even if somewhat unlikely that they do some online restocks and possibly a few more regional SNKRS Passes as well.
I'm a HUGE Kobe fan and I got EA for the mambacitas, they are my first Kobe in my collection and I will NEVER get rid of them. Also fun fact if you hit the back heel with a black light you can see a hidden Kobe signature
That signature isn’t a hidden detail. It’s molded into the heel counter and is featured on all Kobe 6s including the originals. Normally they color is it so you can see it. But this pair has branding on the heel so they colored the entire counter black for a cleaner look.

So happy we are getting more Kobe sneakers! I pray resellers get out of the market and real fans can actually get his shoes. I haven’t played in my protro 1s anymore just cause I don’t want to destroy them. If I do I can’t get another pair for anything less than $500
same I got some 5's and 11's on deck that I wanna wear but am not going to yet because of how expensive it would be to replace them if they were destroyed.
I’m using mine to play basketball in! That’s what those shoes were made for. I know for sure that Gigi and Kobe would want me to use them not to show off but to use them for what they were meant for! To play basketball!
I hope these comeback again, these shouldn’t be limited so anyone who wants to have something of Kobe and Gigi they can also more support for the foundation. ☺️🙏🏼
I love the 6 and 4’s. These never released outside of the US, so hope they will at some point. Resell still too high to cop right now. Congrats on your pair though. You deserve them. ✌🏼
They should rotate his release and make them pre-order or member access with donations calculated and released. Make it like a Kobe Nike Mystery Box that’s monthly.
Best basketball shoe I’ve ever played in. Bought three different times. Wore through each of them. Snake skin is the most intricate feature. Made a great point about the insoles.
I received Exclusive Access and Ive been a customer far longer than Chris (Im in my late 40s). I was in 8th grade when Chris’s fav Flight 89’s were new. But food for thought. I took a lot of L’s to get to the Mambacita. Never won any Kobe 5 protros’s, no Off whites, no cactus jacks. So Nike giving me access makes up for all the Ls I took from 2020 to this moment. BTW, SZ 10 feels like my 9.5 del sol
I got early access for these and it was a disaster. Payment was greyed, and went back in and was sold out. Literally soul crushing as an actual Kobe fan lol

Andrew is a true gent for this. Great questions as to why Kobe did not have one and lebrun does considering Kobe's line carries 10 times more weight than Lebdren.
Kobe and Gigi are gone forever and it really bothers me that Nike limited these shoes to this extent knowing very well what that does to sneakers, and shame on you resellers out there making money off these.

That hoodie is so 🔥 I was lucky enough to hit my size on these on sneakers app. Kobe's are my favorite shoe and I can't bring myself to wear them yet too special. Gonna need a double up for sure
Man I got a free pair of size 11 when Amazon delivered them to me by accident in 2022. I tried to get them to my neighbor & they would never respond. Never wore them but hate I threw away the box. 🙄 They are just sitting in my closet taking up space 😂. I came here to learn more about the shoe. Great video. Hmmm...🤔
Your reviews are always the best. It seems that these shoes don't come out in Korea. I'm sad. As someone who likes Kobe after Jordan, it's really, really, really unfortunate.
Never owned a Kobe sneaker in my life, entered raffles and all Ls. I will be trying my best to cop the Mambacita, as proceeds are going to good causes. I agree with you about resellers you mentioned in this video, but I would encourage reselling for charity, as I do if I double up on raffles or know a sneaker is going to have an high resell, although I don't want them for my self. So whatever money is made on top of retail gets donated to charity throughout the year. 👊🏻❤💎

glad to know the Kobe line is back, personally it would be nice if they keep releasing all the kobes. I really want to get some kobe 4,5 and 6 protros just like how you can get different kinds of jordan
So happy you were able to get a pair. I would’ve loved one but the way the release was set up…I knew that wasn’t happening. I’d just be happy with a GR pair of Kobe VIs…..though I wish these were more widely available especially since partial proceeds are going to the mamba foundation. 🤷🏽♂️
Brooo so awesome you got those! It's rewlly rare for that. I'm just worried that Nike will disappoint the Mamba team again. But can't wait for the Kobe 7 Protro system supreme to come out soon. Hopefully they release it soon 💯💯

👏 I am Kobe fan great review. I have my pair but I don't know about playing in them due to Ja Morant had these on when he had his injury. I love the Hoodie with the actual shoe no disrespect to your other half when you showed the Reebok but I never cross shoe brands except for Supreme with some regular Nike. If you are a true old school sneaker head you get it but to each his/her own.
I had EA and still took the L.. but thinking about it idk how I feel about owning and wearing these, it still breaks my heart to think about what happened 😢

I traded away some 700v3s, Foam Rnrs, and something else that I don't remember, for the Kobes. Lol. Whatever that 3rd pair was, I probably wasn't gonna wear it anyway. Lol. Im not gonna wear these either, but I'll treasure them forever.

Such a clean colorway. The meaning behind it only amplifies everything. Hopefully Nike rereleases this colorway at some point to destroy the people trying to resell it. It's not the place to make a buck.
I want them to release some Kobe Mentality II again :( Being in the Philippines, most of our courts are outdoors. Mentality II was the best one for me.
I'm very happy that Vanessa and Kobe's estate found a satisfactory set of terms for a new contract, purportedly because they resolved whatever issues she/they had about the accessibility of the line. I'm a little weirded out that the first shoe to come from that supposedly newly accessible line of Kobe's was more limited than any pair I've ever tried to get, and that, once again, genuine fans of Kobe who want to play basketball in, you know, shoes made to play basketball in, are either shit out of luck, as usual, or forced to pay what...$800? for shoes that we can't even feel good hooping in because who can really afford to hoop in shoes that expensive? Anyway, they're very cool, and I'd looked forward to these because I've been a Kobe fan since I was 6 (33 now), and I've always wanted to play in a pair. Kinda depressing looking at these and wondering about what "accessible" means or meant to Vanessa, to the estate, or whoever.

I got these but I am a kid who sometimes hoops... I am not too bad but I feel like I have to be one of the best to wear. I like them alot and would like to just were them but I also feel like I don't hoop enougg to wear them... What should I do??
Got'em! Received Exclusive Access couldn't check out kept getting error message. Shoe sold out. Monday morning I get a notification from FedEx saying I have a package scheduled for delivery. Check my Nike account and says I purchased the shoe! Total shocked!

They actually need to consult athletes / people like you for protros. It doesn’t make performance sense to remove the heel zoom. Sure you shouldn’t be landing on your heels but the comfort of the zoom is better than average cushion / cushlon. And the whole point of protros is that it’s a PeRfOrmance reTRO, so why not put full length zoom how they did in the Kobe 1s, which is popular among other lines
I've got a wide foot and I literally couldn't wear Kobes as a casual shoe. Unbelievably tight. I go a full size up in all Nikes but I'm not even sure that'd be enough to get into a Kobe.
