In my opinion, envy is a poison that slowly destroys a person whereas anger, is a tool that can be used to self motivate.

If Nike cared, or Vannessa herself cared. They would just put up Kobes online similar to Nike ID and just sell them as pre orders. But they don't care about us a people. We're are a bottom line for shareholders.

Loved the Kobe 8, I had 4 pairs-Taipan/Barcelona, EXT, Shedding Skin and a Knicks-themed NikeID. Those insole cushions were amazing. When I moved to another country, I sold the Taipan/Barcelona, EXT and SS colorways. I kept the Knicks one until the glue gave out.

As someone who has dealt with anger issues and has had anger issues in my family, I would do away with anger, envy is almost a slow burn while anger can literally make people into monsters where they don’t care for consequences, which is why road rage has become almost a interaction where a person can go and try to kill you over getting cut off

The shoes looks clean and I love that the focus was all on Gigi. I’m curious to see what is causing the shoes to feel different and weigh more too. As for the question of the day…..Envy is what I’ll gladly get rid of. For a lot of the reasons both of you stated. Plus I’ve personally recently had very become more aware when I might be feeling envious, like if something or someone it’s making me feel a certain way or irritated….I’m able to take a step back and analyze if it is what it is or am I projecting. Then I just let myself feel that way for about a day to get it out of my system and move on. Anger on the other hand is in certain context, healthy. It’s a lot more dangerous and unhealthy to keep things bottled up. It’s like a pressure cooker situation…if you don’t release the pressure valve, it’s gonna blow! It’s why I like driving alone and why I always have my windows up. I can hell scream cuss all i want at dumbasses in there, so when it’s time to step out of the car, I’m calm and level headed. 😂🤷🏽‍♂️

I’d rather not be envious. Comparison is the thief of joy. Would love to just be happy and content with what you got and where you are. I agree with Mrs. Wing, you make bad decisions when envy gets factored in.

I will say this though, back in the day I got all my 8s in a 9.5 and got these in my true size a 9. For whatever reason my true size feels better than the half size up(in Protro 8s). Played in these yesterday.. they worked pretty good for me.

The 8 felt like you weren't even wearing a shoe. I was skeptical about how low they were. I had 3 pair of 8's and 4 pairs of 9's. Those are my favorites.

Nice review! Question: Do you think style outweighs comfort when it comes to shoes? Example: some really cool looking shoes just aren't great to wear/play in whereas some ugly or boring ones are the most comfortable.

I'm never truly envious and I'm pretty good at harnessing my anger and "pointing it" into a direction that helps me achieve goals. Think, that thing MJ did when he felt slighted. So one i have no need to divest of, and the other I would be less effective without. 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

If you have any Kobe 9 drop ins they fit into the Kobe 8 protro perfectly if the 9 drop is half size down

i always loved the upper of the 8s but I hated the lunarlon cushioning. i switched the lunarlon drop in with a full length zoom from Lebron 11s and they were much better. I was so disappointed with these Pro Tro because I wanted some Zoom!

I wonder if the "difference" between the OG 8 venice Beach and the protro that you feel is from the actual shape of the sole and toe box. If you compare them side by side, the protro toe angles up where the og is flatter...makes it feel more rigid on foot, in my opinion.

Both anger and envy can be used as tools to excel, to motivate. But I feel envy can be all consuming and difficult to overcome. So i would gladly be rid of envy and just enjoy my life.

Played with the og 8s in the mambacurial cw and now with the protros, just wanna say that the og’s feel like you are not wearing anything while the protros feel stiff

I love sneakers, but I'll never pay above retail for a pair. If I've missed them, that's just how it goes these days.

Protro lasts longer is their porpuse so i wasn't surprised they made them dropins denser.

The OG Kobe 6 was wide. The protros are narrow.

This is just my point on kobes. Please nike make a ton of them. For me who wants to experience again the kobe shoe it hurts due to rareness of them. Due to resellers or hoarders or limited release. The resell price is unreasonable. 😢😢😢

Envy is an inherently negative trait, whereas anger is just an emotion. It can have either negative or positive consequences depending on how you channel it and what you channel it into (don't bottle that shit in, men especially), while envy only leads to terrible things, so I'd rather go without envy. My life would be so much better if I just never wanted what other people have or experience.

If i were to buy a original kobe 8, should i go half a size up or stick TTS casually? The proto gigis feel fine on me as a TTS, but definitely longer to break in.
