At just 15 years old, Leal has already etched her name in skateboarding history, clinching the silver medal in skateboarding's Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
Since then, Leal has shattered records, becoming the youngest street skater to win a Women's Final on the Street League Skateboarding World Tour at 11 years old. Since then she is Street League two time champion and won a Silver Medal for Brazil in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan! Leal has also been skateboarding for April Skateboards as a professional for the last few years. Now, as one of skateboarding's brightest young talents, Leal is set to receive her very own Nike SB Dunk Low. Keep an eye out for Rayssa this Summer in Paris as she goes for the Gold Medal in the 2024 Olympic Games!
This collaboration marks Leal's debut with the iconic Nike SB Dunk Low silhouette, following her successful release of the Nike SB Verona Slip in 2022. This Nike SB Dunk Low will join the other two April Skateboards affiliate dunks which were released in late 2023, the Yuto Horigome and the April Skateboards (Shane O’Neill). Will we continue to see dunk low colorways from the April Skateboards lineup of skateboarders, only time will tell, but this is the third installment in what could be the April Skateboards Pack!
