This man did a perfect job. I’d tip him. He’s on the side of the road working to feed his family. He knows his craft. I wish people were like that in the USA instead of begging for money

I'd much rather have someone at least spit shine my shoes for a dollar than have them sitting on the roadside holding a cardboard sign begging for handouts as if the rest of us didn't bust our asses WORKING for every penny we have. I respect this gentleman doing whatever he can to make ends meet.
Unfortunately here in America you need permits to do anything! Also, don't act like we don't have Americans tgat open up small businesses or do side hustles to make money, everybody not begging here! And they have panhandlers over there, you would know if you ever been anywhere other than America!
If it wore down before on the shoe before the repair, the repair will even out by wearing down itself. The repaired part will always hit the ground first to sand itself down.
Back in the day runners were made out of much more durable materials. The soles were thinner and hard as rock, Lol. Not great for your knees or back as far as absorbing shock though.
I really like these videos that show things we would just toss here in the U.S. being fixed by a craftsman of an artform that doesn't exist here,we take so many things here for granted

They've been flown around the world as raw materials and a completed product...a product that was probably made by a child that should be in school, in conditions most of us in the developed world would call inhumane. Dont try to take the moral high ground because you get the number one worst footwear repair job on RU-vid.
I don't know why lots of negative comments are here.Whatever the repairing results was,c'mon try to see a positive aspects too.I can see a man who is hardly working for his family.

It's a pitty the west don't repair shoes and clothes so much! We seem to have developed a throw away culture which I find sinful . It's bad for the planet. I enjoyed the video very much!
You have to admire a people who can setup a shop anywhere and work for pennies to a dollar. What about that repair?? That's the ugliest patch job using rubber cement and superglue together!
Not to be rude but it would be much easier to repair a tennis , golf and skate shoe with this method rather than a runner or basket ball shoe simply because they are flat and you can change the insole and repair the sole alot easier.
If you can afford a pair of nikes, you can afford a second pair. The shoes are going to be uneven and you’re going to have foot pain. Perfect example of what not to do.
