Great to see a review of these shoes even if they are a few years old, they are still my favorites .. I would not train daily in the alphafly, I use them for races but daily, the tempo are much more comfortable.
Hey bro I’m just wondering two months later if they are still holding up well? I’m looking for a long lasting shoe hopefully it’s this one because it’s really good.
@@debt9077 I have had them basically since first released, 3yrs ago. I used them for all my faster runs and afew 5ks. They have been holding up very well, currently just shy of 200miles I have wear the lateral forefoot near the toes but still very functional shoe. For reference on avg most shoes only last me 275 miles with only one pair going to 300 was puma deviate nitro. 6’2 190lb runner/basketball player
awesome review doc! Im a sprinter so my needs for a trainer are very different. I found these to be too heavy and chunky esp in the heel, but had great lock down and comfort. I have tried dozens of trainers and my fav is by far the streakfly. would love to see you can give that one a review!
I had the rubber behind the airpods tear in these and a airpod burst without stepping into anything sharp. It went leak once where it's glued to the plastic plate and once on the middle of the airpod wall. I gave up on this model.
These shoes can fit anyone, I’m usually a size 10us for nike shoes and I saw a size 8.5 in the outlet so grabbed a pair. The uppers are so flexible that my toes feel perfectly fine, a little stiff and tight at the heel but I’m pretty sure it will ease up as I break the shoes in.
Yeah they are durable I have near 175miles on a pair. However something pretty sharp could puncture it or when you wear thru the rubber outsole and then wear out the plastic of the zoom pod
I’ve had about 5 pairs of these. I would say they’re pretty durable. I put roughly 120 miles a month on them and they’ll last me about 3 months before the foam in the forefoot begin deteriorating
Interesting, I have multiple pairs because they are my fav but they seem like they are going to last me more than you .. i have 550km on one pair and it still feels as new ;) pace is about 4:00/km, 135lbs
When they say "it's a shoe for faster running". What is considered fast running? What is considered a minimum to call your run a "fast run" What is the cadence, time for a run to be considered fast?
Everyone says that these sneakers are disposable, is that true? I bought it, but I'm afraid that it will spoil after a short time of use. It is very rare to find a review of the pink version, is it newer than the others?
Really disappointed. I was able to buy a pair on StockX but I need to look for a different shoe for my speed workouts. Nike, why on earth are these discontinued??
These are crap. I had the white ones with blue Nike tick on them. Fell apart from 30km. Unusable at 60 km. I had a pair same Color as these. They. Got to 85km and popped an air pod. I love them. But the ones sent to Australia are crap. I know several retailers that don’t want to sell them.
I adore these shoes however they don’t last. I’ve gone through 9 pairs in the past 2.5 years. My first pairs lasted through to retirement (700km) then all pairs after that failed well short of 700km either due to a burst air pod and/or the sole tearing just before the pods. I kept on buying them though as they have the highest forefoot energy return out of any shoe I’ve run in. I run 50 to 90km a week, and weigh 60kg.
