Just ran in my Pegasus 4 trail gtx. I would recommend them to any entry trail runner! I love mine!

The Wildhorse! 😬 Runs great on semi-flat surfaces but the rounded outsole is so unstable. I switched to Speedgoats and anytime I decide to take the Wildhorses out I actually end up with a bit of ankle pain.

The best version of Wild Horses is by Bush performed live on the Tonight Show back in ‘97. You have to check it out. Hoping the Peg Trail 4 comes out in better colors soon. Loved the GTX 2 but looking for a non Gore-Tex for Patapsco this fall.

I'm actually considering getting the Pegasus Trail 3 and the Terra Kiger 7. Both are on sale right now and I actually like the colorways from those past models better then the colorways offered with the current models (although the past Terra Kiger colorway looks almost exactly the same as the orange ones featured in this video the only difference is the 7s have an all black swoosh and a bit darker blue on the toe and midsole.). And I'll basically be getting them for free because i purchased the Pegasus Trail 3 Gore-Tex but they started leaking so I returned them a few days ago, I'm just waiting for my refund from Nike. With the refund I'll only be paying like $10 for both pairs of shoes, and then next spring I'll probably purchase the Pegasus Trail 4 Gore-Tex when it goes on sale since I'm going to need another waterproof comfy shoe.

For dirt roads, light trails, light technical stuff, Nike does ok, but they need some type of trail racing flat. I used to use LT 4 and screw some sheet metal screws in bottom. Super light and let me race fast for 3k to 15k trail races.

Looking for a shoe I can run on on the road but also use it for walking and good enough to stop my feet from rolling and toes getting damaged from rocks etc. Looked at Pegasus Trail 4, any other suggestions?

Is the wet grip on the Peg Trail 4 better than the others? The rubber compound is apparently different.

It's definitely better, the rubber seems grippier and better outsole lug pattern

The terra kiger 8 was unusable for me. The grip is terrible for the terrain I run. They come rounded off so now sure how they expect any bite into the ground. Which is fine if the grip is bad but it's good in other ways. But it's just not. Harsh on pavement, inadequate on trails. Yikes.

Would you still buy the peg trail 3 gore Tex or just splurge for the peg 4 because still better grip?

We'd take the peg 4 over the peg trail 3 GTX for that reason. If you just want the GTX as a walking or winter shoe, it's still great though. Wore the hell out of it last winter.

If you guys have already answered this in a video, I apologize. I looked but can't quite find it. I know you said of the Nike's, the Pegasus Trail 4 may be the best one to grab if you are wanting to get into trail running. But if you have all brands at your disposal, what should would you recommend for someone just getting in to the trails. I do a lot of road running, but the trails keep calling. And no, I don't use Tik Tok, haha!

I ordered a pair of Kiger 8 on sale to try out. I have kind of avoided Nike for many years but seems intriguing. How’s the cushion and any comp shoes?
