If they really wanted money aid, they could literally ask for it like big warning into launcher: "we are in trouble we need financial aid to keep up and running, providing at least 10 euro or 20 euro will result in being given armband with theme of first respondent / first aid as a thank you for saving then game. that fkin pve could be sold for 20 euro and you could run on on ur either on ur pc (and just synchronize with servers afterwards) or on servers where you pay idk 5 euro a month for example and can play with friends (like renting a server on hosting). Also they could do fucking camo skins or themed skins (like cultist) on guns, there would be nothing bad about it. I dont get them. Who thought, these moves they did are a good idea.

BSG at least responded to the outcry. And they seemed to miss the entire point: 1. pay to win is bad 2. ALL DLC = ALL DLC

That's a textbook bait & switch _and_ a breach of your purchase contract - if you paid for unlimited, free upgrades & DLC then the devs need to honour that _OR_ offer a refund or other suitable alternative in compensation. I recommend people check out the consumer regulation laws in the UK if that's where the business is registered, because this seems like a pretty blatant breach of purchase contract & non-delivery of goods & services. You're entitled to what you paid for.

"high priority matching for EOD owners for 6 months" "access to offline PVE mode for EOD owners for 6 months" so they gonna let us play the offline mode for half a year, so we make characters, spend time in the mode, get attached to it and when the 6 months are over, many more players gonna say "well i rather upgrade now for 100 bucks plus taxes, otherwise all this time i spend in there is wasted... like i wouldnt mind paying another 30-40 bucks for the PVE mode if they told us: "bois, we need money for servers to run" but at the end, i dont want most of the things in the unheared edition. so having BSG expecting us to pay another 100 bucks, basically 2x the basegame price, is just insane and disrespectful...

i payed eod to not pay more in the future and get all dlcs free. unfortunately i didnt pay for features i guees, god thank nikita i had not to pay for vaulting.

what bothers me the most is the priortiy matching this the first step in actual streamer servers, so i have to wait 10min+ on fresh wipe to get into lobbyies while streamers get in 2 min. Is this how they wanna split the community in either streamer or not

BSG should refund all our purchases after 6 months. They only have "temporary" access to my money while they give me "temporary" access to the things they promised me when i made my purchase.

I have EOD and don't care about access to PVE. But I'm really concerned about all p2w stuff listed in new edition. Everything should be obtainable by players with all editions.

I have alot if respect for you sticking to your guns and staying with EOD, this change is like putting a plaster over a leak. Its a temporary patch that doesnt stop the leaking and will gather more and more community resentment if it stays like this

Imagine all the potential players that would play EFT if there was a single player/coop mode in the game, but its behind a 250$ paywall...thats insane. Every game comes with a single player/coop mode/campaign but BSG does not and now its available at a very very high price. To put that into perspective, there is not a game in the history of gaming that came without a singleplayer and above all its locked behind a special edition at that cost.

Lmao BSG has shifted entirely from passionate game dev to money hungry business. "yeah yeah we're selling out BUT because you cried loud enough we're going to postpone the selling out until 6 months from now"

There is only one acceptable solution. Give everything from the Unheard Edition to EoD Owners and give Unheard Owners Arena. anything else (even reducing the price for the upgrade to one CENT) is not discussable and unacceptable.

there are so many cosmetics they could do, skins for equipment (helmets, vests, and backpacks) they could add weapon charms, they could add custom reticles for holosights and reflexes, they could add stickers for your weapons, patches for your clothing. they also could open up a patreon or go fund me, you know how they could be printing money? $10k and you get your own ingame item (sort of like streamer items, drinks, valuables, gear etc.) they could add profile customization so you could have a banner. they could do calling cards so whenever someone kills you, you will see their calling card. they could do so much but it seems like they are just going to cashout

6:27 I was literally have that exact talk with my friends. If they want money, people will not hesitate to buy some badass looking skins. Maybe new character voices? Beards? Mustaches? Helmet reskins..? There is so many alternatives out there that would make them money. Just make a "STORE" page on the actual game so it's easily accessible to everyone. They would rack in so much money from that but instead they take option B which is to scam absolutely everyone and destroy their reputation in a day.

The only thing I am salty is the priority queue. This is a huge pain with Tarkov, and knowing that as a EOD gamer, I will not have access to priority queue pisses me off. If I knew it I would have stayed with standard account because I do not care about the stash space, I do not care about the gear and the gamma container either. But I bought EOD to support the game I love, and today, I kinda regret it.

I haven't payed much attention to the on-going situation, but I've been an avid Tarkov player for 4 years now. I currently don't have available to me what specifically EoD edition gave, but it always seemed to me like it was a "supporter" tier upgrade, where you could support BSG by giving them money for additional bonuses. Sure, BSG did state it came with future DLC for free and whatnot. And we've gotten Arena for free and that's an entire game mode! There's still the other originally planned DLC coming that we're still getting no? Again, not payed much attention to this and I do agree that the way BSG is handling this is wrong and I dislike that unique gameplay function the unheard edition gets, nothing gameplay altering should be locked behind a paywall. But I don't see why people are complaining about the offline co-op. As per BSG's site, you can literally get the Co-op upgrade for 10€ regardless of what edition you currently have. I have played this game for 4 years now, and gotten my moneys worth of entertainment. I'm not going to buy the unheard edition simply because of how pricey it is (considering I've all ready given them $150 for EoD), but despite this I'm more then willing to pay a 5-10$ subscription to play a game I like on a monthly basis. And if I was interested in the PvE mode, I'd easily pay 10€ for that. You don't need the unheard edition to get access to it. So even if 6 months doesn't seem like much, it's enough for you to try it out and if you dislike it? Just don't pay 10 dollars for it. I know BSG has been very scummy with their promises (or lack thereof) lately, and the way they are trying to get more 'financial support' is just done in such a backwards way. But I do understand the need to generate revenue, but this is clearly not the right direction to take.

Bro tats I didn't even think about that. I was thinking they should have worked really hard to separate all the small things. Gloves, watches, shirts, jackets, pants, boots/shoes all separate all have a bunch of unique items from different militaries or brands or whatever and gun camos, attachment skins, all of that can be done and still feel in universe because of how many different camoflauge style and colors there are from all the different militaries of the world past and present. That way they have a monetization system similar to other games with all cosmetics.

Rolling back Unheard really is the only way to fix this. Get rid of the pay to win features and give the rest of the stuff to EOD.

I'm right there with you on the Pockets point Axel. Everyone should have the change to earn them. And these 6 months things are also very confusing and unnecessary. Either give it to people permanently (pve) or offer it to everyone as a single purchase option for a reasonable price. I don't know if Nikita himself approved the whole thing or someone else convinced him that it was a good decision. But there was far too much focus on the profit margin than on the good relationship between player and developer.

The 'quest' to get the pockets should also not be time-locked e.g. it should be a level 1 quest straight from the start, with minimal effort e.g. get 1 PMC kill and 5 scav kills or something. Otherwise it's still useless if it's locked behind level 20 or 30 since you need the pockets from the very start at level 1 most, and need it much less at higher levels (still very nice at high levels, but not as nice as low levels which are absolutely critical)

I heard you mention an outfit that comes with the unheard edition, but its not on the list and theres no results when you google it?

Increased pocket size is only going to be worth while early game. If I have to do a quest line to unlock big pockets, by the time a typical player completes all those quests they won't need the extra space because they'll be running rigs and armour anyway.

Anything that costs money is DLC, otherwise what was the point of EOD? the only reason to pay more now was to not pay later when it comes down to it, that was the implication, what it boils down to is DLC was stuff you would have to pay for. Hell, I don't care if they make a $800 edition of the game, as long as EOD people get everything as promised, that was the idea, we pay the big price in the beginning to support this beta games development and now stuff is getting released left right and centre and we are getting nothing. When I bought EOD I was like, "ok its a lot but I already have a lot of hours and plan to keep playing and if they release CONTENT THAT COSTS MONEY then it will pay off." There is this argument over what DLC is but really it is new content in the same game that you will have to pay to get, regardless of it being an assest that needs to be downloaded or if it is just recoding things already in the game so "technically" it isn't a download or whatever. And honestly if they released new skins that you could only get through purchasing even with EOD I wouldn't have kicked up a fuss, I get they need money and a skin isn't a huge deal even though if I were the dev i would genuinely treat EOD players right, no more money forked out ever, you get everything, I would have removed EOD from the website sooner so less people had it, then release a few expensive DLCs, then down the track re-release EOD for a limited period when the studio needs an influx of cash. Now for cash they are resorting to alienating us all.

As a EOD owner i DON'T want more pay2win shit just to make me happy... What i want is getting what i was promised (DLC's) and a game where you don't get a huge advantage just cause you got a more expensive version.

Pretty sure if EOD users got the same stuff as the unheard edition, we would be happy. At this point, they may as well just do that and save face while they can before they dig further into the ground and bring the unheard edition price range down to around what EOD was.

The legacy device allows you to bring your friends into a raid midraid you invite friends with it and you can have a whole group of players join you midraid to help you i dont know if they popup next to you tho cuz that would be wild

nothing like a good slap to the face 6 months only what a shame i have loved this game for so long i invested in so much for me and the kids that play tarkov yet here we are needing to spend another 140 to 150 bucks cad just to get what was promised in the first one and now we only get 6 months for each what a pain

I don’t understand how when I started playing Tarkov. I understood the quality of the games the fact that the game probably requires money to make. So I after just a week of playing on standard to see if I enjoyed the game jumped to buy EOD strictly to indoctrinate myself in BSG to show I care about the development of the game. And as a reward we EOD got access to all dlc’s all future updates as we were the ones who allowed it to happen, we worked to pay the price to allow a video game to make content. And now we get stabbed in the back. I’m glad they’re continuing working on the game. But they’ve taken a step to far, I did the same thing for dark and darker. I stepped in and payed the full price for the game to allow the game to develop more. And they’re doing just that and making a fantastic game. They care about the. Community. They listen and fix things so fast and update based on what the player base wants. I didn’t spend excess money just to be treated like I didn’t have a stake in the game. I know it sounds ignorant but all eod accounts like it or not payed the ultimate price on their time and purchase to assist BSG in a way. That’s how I see it anyways.. we played the game through rough patches and broken aspects. And it’s been fun. But now adding yet another price point has me concerned the game isn’t about making a great game anymore.

The saddest thing is, people aren't even angry because they're attempting to add more p2w to the game, they're angry because they got fucked out of their DLCs, as well as there being a more expensive version of the game with better benefits. If they added all these features to EOD instead of making a new edition nobody would've batted an eye.

Nail in coffin. I just escaped Tarkov. Had such high hopes. Not paying more after EOD to play PVE, the apparent hacker fix. Paying extra to no play against other players? There's so much wrong with this, I see a very imminent sharp decline in the player base.

Bought EOD right before patch 12.0. I have avoided SPT in good faith that BSG would either add pve, or fix the broken aspects so pvp would be fun again. If they do not give me permanent access to pve progression I am dowloading SPT and Arena Breakout and never looking back.

Priority matching for EOD users will mean even longer queue times for standard edition players? The players that probably have even less time to play the game to begin with? Also, the EOD users also receive pay-to-win benefits like increased trader access to good items as well as increased pocket size?

i think the issue 100% is they sold EOD for way too long and their are too many EOD owners to actually give it away. They should have removed EOD far sooner and just started the skin thing for money. So many ways this could have been a huge win for BSG but they just dont even care i think. I wonder if they even spoke to a control group of trusted people who would give them their honest opinion on if they did this.

the fact that scare the most is that the more you spend the more unique features you have in game, i know it also happened with EOD and gamma but you could still get epsylon and eventually kappa so the EOD just gave you the possibility to skip a lot of annoying stuffs like the small stash, grinding more for traders, small early wipe pouch but that you could still overcome as a standard edition player. Now they are just telling us that the more you spend on the game the more stuff you will have access too, truly disgusting

I didn't even want new stuff or unique stuff for p2w tied to eod, i just want them to keep their word. If EOD got the new content and also this was a new edition that replaced the old EOD that you can no longer purchase itd be scummy because p2w stuff but it'd be objectively less bad than it currently is by a lot

Okay I see a lot of people getting mad cause of "EOD owners get all DLC". This is not DLC...this is just another version of the game. The 6 months thing: how long does it take for a wipe to happen again...I think it leans more into your PVE PMC getting wiped unlike the UH owners. Thats just a hypothesis tho

You know what's not good? THe community asking for an EOD replacement (See pestily video 2 weeks ago) and when they give it to us, instead of the community saying "I dunno man can we talk about this?" Everyone freaks the fuck out. Like instantly turns it up to 11 screaming and crying and losing their minds as the FIRST reaction to this. THEN BSG says "alright, mea culpa, here's some stuff to make EOD not feel like we gave you the shaft, you're important to us" and AGAIN, the community goes "NO. YOU FUCKED US AGAIN." Everyone needs to settle down. Maybe have a conversation with the guys. Pestily had a conversation with Nikita 2 weeks ago and in 2 weeks we have like HALF of the things he asked for. Hasn't that earned him ANY good will? Also, this "DLC" argument - Before I say anything else - I believe we SHOULD be giving the PvE mode to EVERYONE for free, including WHITE names. Now that I've said that - Literally every single thing that's in the PVE mode is already in the game. Every. Sinlge. THing. The only new thing is that they've renamed raiders and they save your progression - both things, already in the game. These guys are humans. They're not fucking robots. They went to sleep after the patch thinking "Cool, we gave the community something cool to replace EoD" and woke up to all EPIC amounts of hatred for their efforts. The entire appeal of the offline is no wipes and no players, I don't have enough time to play often and I would really really hate only 6mo access... I bought EOD, and I bought the stash expansion. So I've paid $190 for this game already, they want EVEN MORE!! Idgaf about the anything but the offline and it is a slap in the face to give it for 6 months. Now I have been convinced that the only way this game will survive is if BSG is no longer the owners. Please pass the torch.

Isn't it kind of funny that almost every new big change bring so much controversy? I mean, if they just listened to some of the critique they get every single time, the community would not get in such an uproar and they would probably have it a lot easier. Most of the "pay to win" items doesn't matter. Extra pockets? Get a bigger rig. Higher Scav karma? Take the Uber a couple of times (and don't kill Santa). The only thing this time that matters to me is the off line PvE, wich could be implemented with a local server (no extra server load for BSG) just like SP-Tarkov.

I suspect they are doing this new edition to raise capital - whether that means they’re in financial trouble or preparing for Russia 2028 or needing to pay for the persistent servers, it doesn’t matter. They clearly are trying to generate cash. Everyone who could afford EOD has it already and they’re never going to get a lot more money from that group of players, many of which have been playing for “free” for 5+ years. I think what BSG should have said is “Hey community, we want to offer the ability to host persistent servers and bring people in who could not or would not play previously with wipes. Unfortunately, Arena did not have the start that we hoped for and in order to pay for the new servers we need to raise some funds. This means we can’t honor our promise of “free forever” for EOD, and for that we are sorry. We made a promise we can’t keep. To that end we are launching a new game edition tied to the persistent servers, and we will give a partial benefit to EOD owners as an acknowledgement of their contributions to Tarkov. We’re sorry, but we hope you understand.”

Not good? it is AWESOME. It has exposed them as both tone deaf and arrogant all in one go. Yesterday they one tapped the community, today they have tossed in a nade to make sure. Seriously, it is ALL about money. all about getting paid. They need money badly, and they don't know how else to get it. This is uniquely fail.

120 bucks for the UPGRADE? Thats what I spent on EoD alone (with discounts), this is absolutely unacceptable.

The free DLC's are stated to be at full 1.0 game release on the website. I guess we're still in "beta" so we have no comeback.

Honestly, before this shit show, if they had brought out a supporters edition that just gives you a special armband, then I am pretty sure a lot of people would have bought that.

They should have added this to eod then make a new same eod version at $180 with the same container but different skin for anyone that missed out eod

I agree with the majority of what your saying but i genuinely think the worst thing in the post is the high priority queues. As an EOD owner myself this helps me obviously but the queue system is bad enough, so while we get priority the rest of the player base gets screwed with longer queues just to potentially stop some of the anger from EOD owners. It honestly just all seems poorly thought out and poorly executed. After so many years of playing the game guess you can't expect much from BSG anyways :/

Just wait for the "Unseen" edition in 1 year with even more p2w and "Free access to all subsequent DLCs (Season pass)". They should just change the traders to sell weapons via real money in-game by now. Or maybe let's pay per raid to disable scavs or spawn bosses for money. That'd be great

If they did cosmetics and hideout aesthetics as addons for purchase they would make money with compromising their initial promise or adding pay to win benefits in a “realism” focused game.
