Seriously. How can people sit there and listen to this, never mind what they’re paying to do so? I can’t even tell what these songs are most of the time.
I mean, yeah. They're washed up addicts with nothing else going for them lmao. I mean their whole setlist is their early stuff lol. They are stuck in their peak years.
Motley needs to retire! They are no good, they lie and pretend to play, have been doing it for a long time. They think it’s ok and continue to charge a fortune for their shows. I just don’t understand why a lot of people keep paying and going to the shows. It’s just crazy. Nikki Sixx according to him, they are just so successful 😂he’s writing another book, what’s this one gonna be about, let me guess HIM AGAIN!!!!🤣😂
Motley is a fraud. Try to find a video of Motley playing with just acoustic guitars on a radio show/tv show or any program. You cannot find that footage. Their peers made a living playing acoustically and even played MTV Unplugged. For a band like Motley that sold tens of millions of records from 86-91, amazing they were not invited to play on MTV, but bands like Ratt, Poison and Vixen were 🤷🏼♂
Yep thats bullcrap. I play with a drum machine which just repeats the same beat over and over and I have to do the rest I think its way more real since the machine has rhythm and nothing musical comes from it. Once you have fake guitars and vocals thats bullcrap
@@worsethanhitlerpt.2539many MANY people use drum machines and have become a legit way to have a rhythm without having a drummer. You absolutely get a pass.
“When you’re a Major Douche in this world worth millions & people love you….you can do anything & get away with it.” (UNTIL YOU F_ _K WITH MICK MARS) “GIVE “EM HELL, MICK!!!”
Same feelings 🥹 ‘83 and I will never spend another cent on anything they do, this is an embarrassing and horrendous way to end it! John 5 buddy u need to jump ship quick, the only one w any talent or love of playing music in this train wreck, RETIRE! like I once heard in a song years ago from a band who were killer but suck now DON’T GO AWAY MAD, JUST GO AWAY 😢
This has been going on for years if not decades, and finally people are wising up to it. Recorded music was entirely devalued with digital, and the live experience looks very much to be next on the chopping block.
Doesen’t look like backing tracking to me. If you know how to play a guitar or bass you’ll know that you can pluck notes with both hands. What’s this «we hate Nikki Sixx» bullshit going on? Crawl back into your caves, keyboard warriors🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼
@@Keith85210 first what?? What are you 12? Amother motley crue fanboy who thinks motley crue invented the wheel....alice cooper and kiss came out 10 years before that band of yours came out and copied them. Now, get a job and leave your mother's basement nancy.
I remember when shout at the Devil came out as a teenager… sounding raw and dangerous. This is exactly what happens when you hang around the party too long. Least rock and roll band in the world aside from kiss
Motley has earned their stripes, big get fucked!! to all the haters, 40 years of doing what they do, if you think you have been had, because of backing tracks, you are a fool, it's industry standard, you have heard it before, ignorance is bliss, everyone gets old, it's harder to keep your loyal fans happy, and your backers, when you are old, just listen to some of the older stuff,, and say that motley are just posers,, they are anything but!! Get real haters!!!
I wholeheartedly agree. I was 13 when Shout was relesed, the only other album.that was really heavy was the self titled album. So much for bowing out with dignity.
I’m not saying they don’t use backing tracks, but Nikki is playing that bass line. His picking hand is in time. Nothing he is doing is preventing him from playing that.
The bass lines are so simple in Motley Crue, why would he even need to fake it. It's not like he would be at home, while a robot it playing. He has to ne there anyway. Seems like faking it would be harder than just playing
@@Matt_Wilson01 i saw mc in their " prime" they were horrible " live" . Every band i saw opening for them or co headliner kicked Motley crue off the stage
I saw them perform in 83-84. They were an extremely energetic band back then and there was no doubt they were actually playing. These days the audience doesn’t care.
I heard Vince Neil sing some time ago, and he can't belt them out like he used to, and has trouble breathing because of his weight. There was NO WAY he could do a full tour without backing tracks it is impossible. As much as Motley Crue is an experience to see and part of my 80's - there is no way I am paying that much money for a fake performance. However, most of the top performers of the last 15 years use backing tracks sad to say - none of it real anymore. Thank God I got to see all the real bands in their prime. It's just sad now to see them try to gaslight people by saying that Mick Mars is lying about the back tracks. Their greedy egos tossed him under the bus for a fake image, and for that I will never forgive them. Nikki Sixx a 64 yr old man prancing around playing pretend to back tracks, and Vince Neil and his voice - is just sad. Mick Mars is the only one with common sense to walk away a legend.
“Most portions of this show are pre-recorded”. That disclaimer should be on every ticket site so everyone sees exactly what they’re paying for. Motley and KISS….it’s out of control.
Who cares ! I grew up playing and listening to these songs back in the 80s . I think it’s time for old those old folks need to hang it up. Only a few Rock Icon Bands left. KISS needs to hang it up. Paul and Gene just got more greedy with money and fame. They were never the same after Ace ,Peter lefted! Lots of groups that’s has a member leave or kicked out or passes, is never the same. There will never be an error of Rock N Roll or Heavy Metal like the 70s& 80s. Ever again. Like the True guitar gods who left us. Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhodes, Jimmy Hendrix, ect. True legends who inspired and influenced and invented how the guitar is played today. 0:37
I saw them on THE END TOUR in 2015 and skipped the stadium tour. I'm a fan but sure glad I passed on this B.S.....They are doing exactly what they said they would never do , replace band members and reunite for another tour.
When bands start " retiring" but keep coming OUT of retirement...its all about the money...I saw Tommy Lee out in Malibu and he dropped $5K for DINNER while joking he needed to go " back on tour to keep his life right" Thats ALL this is for them now, a paycheck. They are old and tired and it shows. So many other bands on the same age group still kick ass...but these guys like $$$$ to much. Mick is the only real rock star in this group.
The Rolling Stones are recording and touring with Mick Jagger now 80 with all the moves. That is a real band. Motley Crue is garbage now. Tommy, Vince and Nikki lied to us all these years. Pieces of excrement wearing shoes.@@user-bn8vz5wz7n
Question: if Nikki is walking around posing, all over the stage and barely even fretting notes/chords on his guitar, which we can clearly see,how is it that we can still hear a steady bassline?
These old rockers need to give it the f- - k up already and stop ripping the fans off, step aside and let the younger new talent take over and carry on! By the way, Im 70 years old.
Vince is the one that needs backing tracks. They could play that while Vince sits on a folding chair onstage eating ding dongs and twinkies. I think the audience should get paid a percentage of concert sales since they do 80% of Vince’s job since he frequently holds the mic out for them to sing the lyrics.
They already admitted they use backing tracks. If people are willing to pay to watch people lip sync and high volume, God bless 'em. I'm not going But that's my choice. To each his own.
If the controversy is at 0:18 there is no controversy. Sixx is playing. He hits a note then points to the crowd then hits the next note and points (this is the lead in to the "shout" chorus) then goes into the chorus bass line lick and you can see him looking at his left hand on the fret board. Not sure why he has to look as he has probably played this somg a million time and should be able to play it in his sleep. Their songs, especially the early stuff is not rocket science. There is another video where Tommy counts in the song and he is not hitting the symbols. For consistency for all members this is a recorded count in and is a good thing so they are all in synch at the correct BPM's when they start playing. There is no problem having a recorded count in. Every nite the song will be performed at the correct beats per min (BPM). Now the vocals are an entirely different animal for a much longer discussion. I am sure the backing vocals are recorded.
This is embarrassing on so many levels. Crue songs are easier to play on bass than Ramones songs and imagine playing to tracks and *STILL* sounding this bad?
Let's be honest; it doesn't matter that they're miming. People are already paying to see hologram bands, with KISS soon to be among them. We don't live in a world where what is real matter. Concerts today are about pretending that things are happier than they are for a time, and in the case of old band like this, there's a nostalgia factor.
Gene simmons plays live unlike nikki suxx. And while simmons is not a geddy lee. Simmons can play , he is actually quite a good bass player and sings at the same time. Learn something
And they sought to cut Mick Mars out of his legacy and finances in Motley Crue entirely after Mick exposed the fact that these tours are a total farce. Without Mick, Motley Crue wouldn't exist as he was the only real deal musician among all of them.
He is a good guitarist but always struck me as a freak and as damaged goods. He might get paid well for this but his reputation will probably suffer. He'll probably regret it.
@@ericandrews1661 I sorta doubt that ,hearing how much cash they are making which is good for them bad for the people that paid top $$ to be close. Know.
@@saulhudson302 true, but money isn't always everything. I say that as an older man and as one who has some money. Nobody that's poor would ever say it, and wealthier people have the luxury of not having to worry about money anymore and instead worry about things like their reputation and legacy and things like integrity and honesty. Maybe his career will suffer, idk. Maybe he will live to regret his choices now. All I know is a band that was part of my teenage party years is now dead to me because of their lack of principles.
@@ericandrews1661 Well I really was trying to say is people paying good cash to be close to the stage their hero ......problem is , Their making video clips and not really plugged in and cranked !
Well everyone has been doing this in Pop music for decades, now aging Rockers are adopting it like Kiss, Motley Crue....also the Rolling Stones. If you think Ronnie & Keith are playing 100% of the time you're drunk.
THIS IS COMMON IN LIVE AUDIO FOR 20YRS OR MORE!! Its just people focusing on motley crue. Im a sound guy, backing vocals etc pre recorded stop tripping
I think you are mistaken. At 19 seconds Nikki plays two sustained half notes that are picked. Not 8ths there. The slide is actually John 5 at 35 seconds. They are probably tuned to E flat or lower on this song. Thus the slide may sound lower pitched as if almost in the bass register. I play bass professionally. I think your trippin' a little bit. Find a more convincing video.
I've seen Motley Crue on their Girls Girls Girls tour and the Dr Feelgood tour and Vince's vocals were just as bad then as now. P.S. I also seen John live with The Crue and talk about a total badazz vocalist live!!!... Two thumbs way up high
When you look at the recent Yokohama show 11/4 I beleive Nikki is not playing but holding the bas and talking without a Mic to the audience but the bass line for Dr Feelgood is playing his bass parts Hmmm
