Before I heard this I thought she reminded me of Norah Jones. Nikki's got IT. Shes got her own. We are going 2 c alot of her, I just hope she dosnt fall victim 2 the industry like so many other talented people do. And untalented.
When I first heard of this girl, I immediately thought of Norah Jones.. nice that she covered one of her songs! Though I'll always be a big fan of the original, this girl has an incredible voice! Especially since she's so young.. vraiment incroyable :)
Looks like Jesse Harris himself is on guitar on another amazing rendition of this classic song of his. I also saw that he was one of the composers of "Bienvenu dans Ma Vie." Brilliant!
I'm pretty sleep deprived right now, but what I'm about to write is 100% sincere: This is real music. Music that can conjure raw emotion, lift you up, and carry you to a place that exists in it's own unique way inside of each and every listener. Nikki Yanofsky's voice does just that. She's a true artist, through and through. Amazing. Was that cheesy? Fuck it, I don't care, it's true.
I first heard Phoebe Snow sing this in the 70's when I was in my 20's. You blessed me back a few years. lovely voice. I will buy ur music in a heart beat...:)))))
This song was written in 1999 by Jesse Harris. So you are probably thinking of something else by Phoebe. Would have loved to hear her rendition of this, unfortunately that will never happen--at least in these parts.
she was before 4 years ago in israel in show on Jazz pestival, and i was there, i was find her thanks to the Wavin flag song that she was singnig on it, she very talnted and unlike justin beiber she is singer, she is an artist :)

Im digging more young people singing this kind of music and shes got a great voice, BUT this is nothing even close to the original. the original has this amazing ethereal, emotional, everything-is-in-the-silences feel to it.
I was just in the car listening to the radio.. They played Airmail Special, and I loved it! When the song was over, she said your name, and the whole way home I was repeating "Yanofsky, Yanofsky Yanofsky" So I heard it again a few minutes ago., and no doubt its really good! I hope u go in that direction! I didnt really like the Norah Jones cover though.. Its crazy that u nailed Ella's song!!
Miley cyrus? oh jesus... please do not even compare her to Nikki. Nikki yanofsky has the same quality as Norah Jones which i loved too, but she has just that slightly more edge to it I think! Both have amazing voice... :)
