I never thought I would get a reply from you. Thank you so much for that response. I'm very surprised because I still don't have any expectations about anything. In the middle of May at that time, after the final exams of four universities and colleges in the Burlington area, students gathered in the downtown area, all the pubs were full, and the stress was released and the town was in an uproar. At the corner of Main Street and Church Street, a bluegrass band used to play and make money. My friends and I were getting drunk and listening to what they were playing. Then I suddenly wanted to play the banjo and I asked them to play the banjo. He handed me the banjo. When I played solo at "Salt Dog", they and my friends were so surprised that they found themselves in a great hustle and bustle. Nobody seemed to have imagined that an Asian boy with dark hair could play the five strings banjo skillfully. Even now, my old American friends tell me to write a unique life story that no one else can imitate before I die, but I won't do that. All the best.
I'm a self-appointed Tokyo Vermonter. I am writing this post after hearing a story about a time in Vermont which was on your RU-vid channel. After I graduated from a Japanese university, I studied abroad from 1975 to 1977 at a small college like a country club in Vermont. At the time, getting a student visa to the United States was just as difficult and complicated as exporting monkeys to the United States. The college life in Vermont affected me so much, it changed my life. I was the first Japanese student there. I made many good friends and unforgettable memories together. I am always in contact with those friends on Facebook. At that time, one person could take out 1,500 dollars, and in order to take out more than that amount, it was necessary to obtain permission from the Bank of Japan. Tuition during the first semester was $2,000. That amount is not possible today. At the time, it was easy to drive across the Canadian border into Montreal with a driver's license. I wish your RU-vid channel the best of luck.
Oh my goodness, thank you so much for this comment! This is amazing. I would love to hear more about your experience - please contact me if you can (Instagram or email via my website).
That is incredible to see Miss Makoto toss/throw a top (I can’t see what it is) into the hoop of a shrine gate. Also, it is a lovely place to see the nature while visiting the shrine of Nikko.
