Hello from Chicago! I really enjoy your videos; they are informative and fun! I owned the 43-86 way back in my younger days and I always liked it. Your F2 looks like my F (meter less prism)!
@@steveshadowphoto9346 Hi Steve! Many thanks for your comment. You know? There are a lot of myths in photography that people just hear and repeat it over and over to a point that they assume that it's a true thing. Nowadays when someone say something about a body or a lens, people just assume that it's true. The shame on all this is that they don't give space for trying it out for themselves. It's kind of "I heard my neighbour saying that beer tastes bad, so I'm not even going to try it out for myself.... Beer is blerghhh!!" . Another thing on my videos is that it's just the goofy way that I am... About 20 years ago me and my ex-wife were at a friend's house in Belgium. It used to be a former pre-school that was bombed out by the Germans during the Ardennes offensive. According to them, the house has since been haunted. One night, somewhere close to 2 Am , we were about to hit the sack when we heard our dog jumping and going for the bedroom door growling . We stood motionless as we heard long footsteps reaching for our door and seconds after someone, or something, knocked at the door. I looked at my ex-wife, looked at my growling dog, and said out loud : "Would you come in?"... And got slapped by my wife ...
@@paulodefeyter Now, that is a great story and is just what I would have said! And, I do agree with you about social media; people read or hear something and take it as the truth without really knowing. Over the years (since I first picked up a camera in the early 1970's) I've used a lot of equipment; some good, some bad, some expensive and mostly, cheap. Often, cheap was better!
It looks to be the newer version of the lens as the lettering is outside the filter ring - apparently from what I have read, they improved the lens from the original.
