Before this game I said that to have a real chance to win the the series against the Timberwolves Nuggets needs 4 of their starting 5 to play every game on a great level. Tonight there were only 2 on a descent level: Gordon and Jokic, Murray had a straight bad game, and Porter was awful. The fifth guy was almost unnoticeable.
Very true. But the Timberwolves were making those guys play bad. They could barely get shots off. Every time they went up to shoot there was a hand either in their face or blocking the ball. They aren’t used to this level of defense because no one plays this level of defense in the regular season and no one is as good as the Timberwolves on defense. It’s going to be a long series for Denver. And I say long as in the next two games in Minnesota. They may beat them pretty handily both games 3 and 4.
