bridge4 He is my favorite as well. Nikolaj has done such a fantastic job of translating that chatacter. I have gone from despising Jaime in S1 to complete empathy by S7. What a journey he has taken us on.

I think from the way he commented on the Cersei part is that he is absolutely not the Valonquar

bridge4 me too. Yes the push was wrong, but if he hadn't done that, pushed this boy he didn't know, his twin sister and all three of their children would likely have all been killed by Robert. So, it's a little grey in that which is better? For one child to die or three? I don't care about Cersei, (or Joff, really) but they were children who had no part in their parents crimes. Not to mention, there could have been forces putting these events into motion in order for Bran to begin his journey to the TER. I mean, it may turn out that that push leads to events that save mankind.

Mel*of*Winterfell yeah I hated that at first too. Now when I watch again I see his behavior differently. His attitude towards people was self preservation, I think. He was the Kingslayer. And while he hated that, I think he did what Tyrion told Jon to do. "Wear it like armor. ."

Jamie L yeah me neither! I also hated when the mad queen burned Tarly father and son together paralelling her mad father when he burned stark father and son together starting the robert's rebellion. Isn't it interesting that Jon / Gendry against Dany is almost being set up as how Ned/Robert 2.0 when went against Aerys. I love me some paralells.

Delusional Whore could be! Dany is not my favorite character AT ALL. But I don't think she's reached mad Queen levels. Cersei, however....

Delusional Whore you know....cersei and Dany could make quite a team...what house is known for completely wiping out entire houses? The Lannisters. They wiped out House Reyne, house Stark (potentially), and the Tyrells . Dany basically ended house Tarly (unless Sam gets out of his vows somehow. Maybe they're related. ;)

Jamie L yeah fam Cersei and dany together can be potentially the best antagonist team EVER.. pretty sure they'll wreck even the night king lol 😂 Dany is one of my top 10 characters IF she goes dark!Dany because otherwise she is just a bland hypocritical hero who does awful things and then gets away with it cause heroes have that plot armour (like please grrm I expect you to be Better than that, give me dark!dany). I agree tho... dany is not mad queen but that's what she will be seen as by the westerosi people. Listen she could have taken the Tarlys prisoners or sent them to the wall but she decided to burn them alive. That paralell alone with her father when she screams "i am not my father" is enough to set alarm bells off in Westerosi people's head. The idea that she will embrace "fire and blood" her house's words has been played with since the first season / book. If she embraces fire and blood all the way... she will make the best antagonist.. the antagonist the audience sympathise with since we have seen her journey since the begining. It fits will with what grrm says about villains " a villain is a hero from the other side...// everyone is a hero in their own story".... Dany is a hero in her own story like, she is an exiled princess coming to restore her house and legacy of her ancestors but when you look from westerosi people's perspective... she is another foreign invader who comes on dragons (Weapons of Mass destruction) and forces them to Bend the knee (Or die). Cersei says that the best way to rule someone is through fear (I think in one of sansa's chapters and Sansa rejects that ideology) but when you look at season 7. She burned them together and the people bent the knee out of fear not love. So she is a hero in her own story but for westeros she is a antagonist (I don't want to say villain because she isn't evil for the sake of being evil that's more like joffery /ramsay).. she is a layered antagonist tho.. so she is one of my most favourite characters

She is such a boring character.... Game of Thrones is a great show because of characters like Jaime, Tyrion, The Hound, Littlefinger, Cercei etc. They are more interesting, with more layers and so on. Dany is juts that typical character in every show I feel :/
