In this video I am doing hands on review of Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8G ED VRii lens. I tested the focus, sharpness at wide open aperture and at 200mm, bokeh, focus accuracy and VRII.
It's an exceptional lens with great sharpness and works great in low light situation when you cannot hand hold at slower shutter speed.

I bought this lens and I love it. I've only been shooting for about 2 years I'm using it on a D90. I have to back up pretty far to take portraits. If I had a full frame camera, would I still have to back up as much? By the way, I'm learning so much from your videos. I'm practically going to school for free. Keep it up!!!

Excellent Videos - I watch two a day :) What is your opinion on the Nikon D5000, worth keeping or should I trade it in for a newer model ? :)

Hi! No one has done a comparison on VR1 and VR2 nikkor lenses. Would like to see if VR2 is really worth that price tag. Kindly upload it soon.

Also, I thought the lens cant move from a 2.8 no matter if you're at 70-200mm. I believe I heard you say "shoot at 4.5, 5.6" please clear this up for me :)

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm sure there are places around here to rent lenses - just have to find them - I'm in Bergen County NJ. I think renting would be fun for me as I'm sure I would LOVE to experience such a high quality lens. I'm getting the Nikon 55-200 f4-5.6G VR refurbished for CHEAP from b&h just to have a beginners zoom for outdoors. BTW, could you please do a short video explaining lens mm??? I can't seem to find this info anywhere that is comprehensive & useful. THANKS!

Sweet lens! and nice backing music but for longer videos try less relaxing music so i would feel sleepy :)

Thanks for these videos! Quick Q. I'm getting my 1st dslr Nikon d5100. I need a reasonably priced lens for taking video and pics indoors at 30-50 ft away from my kids (at gymnastics, school shows, etc...) but will also be used as my walking around lens. Looking at the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 for the fixed aperture so I don't lose light when zooming in. Is this a good way to go? Will it zoom enough at 50 ft away? Your thoughts? Does not have VR - is that a concern really since it's

Is US $ 1600 a good price for this lens, today in 2016. Mint condition inside box and all that. almost new. not sure when Nikon might bring an upgrade for this lens. Thanks!
