Good to hear! It’s a great lens. They call it a “stack of primes” since it’s as sharp as a set of equivalent prime lenses. I hope you enjoy it.

Eric, which black and white film did you use for this video? Was it Tri-X? It has plenty of snap despite the heavy overcast.

It is also partially compatible with N90S where aperture doesn't work in Manual but does work in the aperture priority mode?

Yes, similar to the N8008s (I don’t have an N90), the modes that require an actual aperture ring won’t work properly.

If I don’t make videos, is it really worth to get the VR version?

The VR feature is useful for still photos as well but I don’t know how important it would be for a 24-70mm. I find it more useful for longer telephoto lenses like my Nikon zoom that goes to 300mm. So yeah probably not worth it if you aren’t producing videos.

@@FilmPhotographyChannel I am mostly using my gear for portrait/school events with the kids. Folks are starting to ask me for photos now. I thought maybe I should get the 24-70 mm and then the 70-200mm Nikkor. But really I don't really care about the bokeh, but I need a little more reach for taking pictures of kids. Thanks so much for your reply so quickly.

How would this lens be on a Nikon F100?

It should be fully functional on the F100. Remember that this one is the non-VR version which is lighter, smaller and sharper than the newer VR version.
