Agreed, it's one of their best songs, and a great album over all. Haven't bothered with the one that came out after this one. Not so interested with Dallas gone.
@@richiefarrell4726 Dallas wasn't Nile....amazing talent, but it was always Karl. I encourage you to give Vile Nilotic Rites....fantastic record. And their new album "The Underworld Awaits Us All" drops August 23rd.
Am I the only person on earth that actually loves to watch GK' play..? It's just so graceful and methodical, like a walk in the park. I love it! He makes it look so damn easy.
agree 100% i haven't seen Nile play. from this footage...GK does make look so calm behind the kit. as if he can drum in his sleep. a damn beast either way.
Awesome quality and probably my new all-time fave Nile song!! Also, check Dallas' face on his solo at 3:38 hahahahahahaha that's the kind of fun and spirit all metal bands should have
@@TheReturnOED I have to agree. Inferno is the best drummer on the planet for stage energy except for old school Lars. Sadly once the music gets too fast you can’t jump around too much!
+Lewis Wood George once said that he kept a steady 210bpm 16th notes Kick drum roll for more than an hour in some interview I think. I don't think he's feeling any pain at this point anymore lol, he just stated that Niles stuff is challenging cause its so fast, what we're seeing is probably his concentrated face
***** Ah, I for my part am at 220bpm now, I can keep it for around 5-7 minutes, with a lot of warm up.. And George, as well as me being inspired greatly by him, uses the "Swivel Technique", where you swing your heels sideways (not too far though, that'd be bad for the knees!), which, in my experience gives a little bit more leverage in playing, while also cleaning up the bass drum single stroke roll, because you have the inwards-outwards motion, for me it looks like this; Right Heel Outwards, Left Ankle Out, Right in, Left in. You see, that's a straight group of four notes, so playing it fast, you get your 16th stroke rolls very easily and clean, so you can concentrate on other things when you got used to it :) Also, I personally think that Blast Beats and Double Bass are a ton of fun to play, and that "drums in this genre being boring" is a matter of the drummer. Of course on these speeds there's less to not really any room for groove, but the fills, accents and patterns some extreme drummers use can be very entertaining, if not amazing to listen to and watch, but that might just be a matter of taste.
+scarabaeus I've seen several videos when George drops his sticks and looked even worse than here, I think he is definitely have some health problems. Really strange, because there are more technical and fast drummers, and I haven't seen them so tired.
Firstly something is fishy with this drummer he looks like he is half asleep. Secondly playback 0:59 to 1:00 at 0.5 or even 0.25 playback speed. He is clearly hitting the toms and not the snare. Backing drum tracks?
