@@TiasHere I miss Dallas he was awesome (though not bad this current one either). Pitty that he quit. But best wishes for him anyways whatever he do nowadays.
Nile is one of the most consistent bands I know of, been listening to them since their debut and never once got bored! Hope I one day can see them live :)
Fucking Unas Slayer of the gods. What a tune. Back here again after finding out Nile is playing Manchester UK this year. I wonder how George will feel hearing a fellow Greek screaming every lyric with tears in my eyes.
Usually he uses triggers on toms and kicks, I guess that just not was possible in that show or maybe he was with problems selecting the correct amount of threshold . Working on festivals always involve that kind of technical risks. I said this based on my experience as drum tech, sometimes shit happens ;D
I hope that someday, we get to see a live concert with good audio quality but with more emphasis on the the drum cam because George is literally one of the most technical and radical drummers out there who's drumming is never shown during his runthrough of the songs at Nile gigs. Come to India guys ❤🤘🏽
Hey man, unfortunately for the both of us Nile had come to india back in 2017 for Bangalore Open Air it's very unlikely for them to come back since bands like them rarely come to india twice for whatever logistical reason, but footage does exist of it on here if you're curious to see
Was fortunate to meet Karl in front of a tour bus in Portland, Oregon. He could not have been nicer. I’m not sure how someone even begins to explain George Kollias.
Unas Hath Taken Possession of the Hearts of the Gods Unas Feedeth on their Entrails He Hath gorged on their Unuttered Sacred Words He Hath Assimilated the Wisdom of the Gods His Existence is Everlasting
Yes, that is NOT GEORGE’S SIGNATURE PEARL KIT... maybe his snare, pedals and cymbals--but it looks like everything is from the festival providing it... 💪💪💪🎶🥁❤️😊
Yup and I’m pretty sure that no one in the whole band played anything throught those Ampex heads on background? :P That weren’t even turned on if I saw correctly.
On the super fast parts George is clearly struggling, (maybe he's not warmed up?!) Whatever the case, the mid tempo and slower stuff is absolutely nailing flawlessly and with lots of flavor and soul. As a death metal musician I know how hard it is to play this music live and tightly to where it at least makes sense as far as interpretation to the listener.
@@ZombiesOnYourLawn66 hate that stupid crap, people commenting on how bad PROFESSIONALL MUSICIANS are playing. Nile are 1 of the most technical and talented bands out there, comments like this ass hole's blow my mind 🤯
