I think one of the encouraging things is that we all seem to be happier with the players Clement has brought in than the previous managers bar Gerrard.

We must become the best and most encouraging support of younger players in the country. Its the path to our success. Many of us were weaned on the big spending days. Those days are dead. Many of the so called pros as squadders are costing us over inflated wages for mediocrity, just because some of them have have fancy foreign names. Its time to throw in more young Scottish players who will give everything for the badge and to develop. When we find a foreigner that can join us they should have to have potential as a young foreigner to be exceptional in time.

Agreed but our youth players must be good enough and they need to be developed in the correct environment which means ensuring that we go 3-0 up in home matches, so that we can introduce youth players to give them minutes in a winning match which builds their confidence and where they can fit into our system of play under less pressure. The fans need to buy into this philosophy in order to nurture this talent, where they are not too harsh on them if and when they make mistakes, as mistakes are part of learning.

@neilmckechnie6638 I respect your view on it, but I disagree. We don't need to be 3-0 up. They are not babies. They are young men. Life is do or die, sink or swim. The cream rises to the top and overcomes the challenge. There are men that age in all sorts of professions thrown in the deep end and with football if you look around all the smaller countries and big leagues they throw them in. They just need to adapt and if they lose or we lose we need to especially back the younger men to the hilt. We cannot baby them. They have to adapt and build top flight experience as soon as possible. For me the way in for the younger guys should be as squadders. We should save ourselves money and not fill the bench with overpaid mediocrity. At least with our own young players, as subs and possible game changers they could affect the game and they would be fearless and eager to impress vs guys like Dowell and some others, just phoning it in on big pay packs. We are very backwards with all this in Scotland and that is why our national team is getting humped as well. Its a combination of that and too many teams playing low block or hit and rush, longball football. We need to develop a possession based game in Scotland. I think a massive mentality shift is well overdue.

Anyone’s idea of the “player trading model” is about to be out of date after the Diarra ruling last week. Big transfer fees likely to be a thing of the past

Step 1/ get players. Step 2/ trade them when higher value Step 3/ repeat steps 1 and 2.

NK 100% correct. But PC needs to get on board with it. Right now he is as much a barrier to youth development as a proponent. And the support need to suck up some more dips before we turn the corner - rather than reverting to entitlement, toxicity and defeating the whole process.

Agreed, regardless of what happens with clement we should be thankful that we have koppen behind the scenes making us stronger in the transfer market. If clement does get sacked at some point, hopefully koppen plays a part in picking the next manager as his eye for talent is a proven one

The current investors must be made to sell their shares. They have badly let the club down and have ruined the model. They must accept responsibility and leave. We need new blood.

Show me a club that doesnt have LOT more failures than success, "at the cheap end of player transfers". Its all a numbers game, more you buy, more chance of finding diamond. Its very hard to get transfers correct when you spend £10-20m, never mind £1-3m. !! ( world football, numbers that were classed as "not a success" were at 70%, not sure of last few seasons).. If it was this easy, every tean in every country would be doing it.

Not happy with the recruiting players with koppen so far has been a failure we are 3rd in the league not only one team that is usually ahead trying to catch them but Aberdeen are now in ahead to , it really isn’t good enough for were we want to be

So why are we buying 28 year olds in colak and Dessers? Please no one say experience
@neilmckechnie6638
@neilmckechnie6638 6 дней назад
Because you need a balance of experience and youthfull energy. It is a well known mantra that a team full of youthfull players never wins trophies and titles because they make more mistakes than experienced players. This is not a controversial point.

@@neilmckechnie6638 Alan Hansen 1995 springs to mind. Brining in experience is good if they have won at a certain level.. Dessers Colak lundstrum etc won nothing.

Unless we get away from the butchers apron and be so stupid as singing god save the king there will be a big dislike for Rangers especially from the SFA and SPFL. You cant win important games with bias referees. yes change whatever you want but that wont change the results because its not football thats making mistakes on the pitch. Most Rangers fans know whats going on. Also why is the celtic court case being covered up by the media. This club should have been banned from ever playing again.😢😢😢

Who we are, what you talking about. Rangers are a club in their own right, butchers apron does not make RFC. Neither does singing god save the lazy git without a job. We are far bigger than that, far bigger.

Whether you are a royalist or not, the fact remains that this country is a monarchy. It is also traditionally a protestant country. Celtic have made concerted efforts over many years to establish themselves as a powerful voice within the footballing authorities in Scotland, at the same time usurping our authority. Sadly they have succeeded in this strategy, and are now viewed as Scotland's establishment club, despite being aligned with Ireland and their support flying the triclour. I agree sectarianism now has no place in our club, but to suggest we bow to the internal bias of Scotland's football authorities or the media is something we should never do.
