Aishwarya and Salman's chemistry in this iS MIND BLOWING. Maybe because around this time they were dating. The movie might be a bit slow but you can watch it for Sanjay Leela bhansali and beautiful Gujarati Rajasthani culture. This movie has the most amazing visuals. Watch it guys it might not be the best movie but it's totally worth it. This movie is art.

One of the best movies of Aishwarya and also note this movie was shot when she was romantically linked with Salman at the time. Ajays acting was his usual - quiet but amazing, the underdog you end up loving. I have watched this movie several times for the aesthetics.

This was one of Sanjay Leela Bhansaali's really early films... He called Aishwarya his muse and went on to do Devdas with her. This is the film that catapulted him. Khamoshi was another BEAUTIFUL film but it wasn't as, umm breathtaking visually. That one had amazing music. It had Salman as well. This story was good but he reinvented visuals with this one. ANY Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a must watch, like any Vidya Balan film is a must watch.

This is a really good album and a very good movie! I would recommend this movie for sure, it has very mature character development and study of human psychology. And this is the BEST Salman Khan movie. Arguably one of Aishwariya’s best movies too.

I loved this movie as a kid. The songs were so good and it was a kid of fun and drama. Also, the chemistry between Salman and Aishwariya was great (expected since they were dating during this time)...Ajay, like always, solid acting.

I agree. In fact, I don't think most Indians now would sit through something like this. It doesn't help that the entire cast did a less than mediocre job of acting. They weren't believable through most of the film. It wasn't a case of lacklustre performance, rather one of being exposed for lack of talent.

This film is one of the best SLB films, with some of the best performances ever in an SLB film... I find recent SLB films like Ram-Leela much more dramatic and Deepika's performances in all of her SLB films is mediocre compared to SLB's previous heroines like Manisha Koirala, Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukherji, Madhuri Dixit... I even find Ranveer's performances in SLB movies much inferior to SLB's previous heroes like Nana Patekar, Ajay Devgan, Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan...

I sincerely think you have grown used to Bollywood enough that you will enjoy this movie. It's a good romantic musical. Amazing songs, good acting (including Salman), and a superb performance by Aishwarya Rai. She has looked the best in This movie, Devdas, Dhoom and Ae Dil hai Mushkil. You should watch all 4 for Aishwarya.

You should watch it, there are loads of nuanced moments which I'm sure you'd appreciate. Aishwarya's fiestiness, Salmaan's playfulness and Ajay's restraint make this movie a classic. Also, the music, cinematography, costumes, art design and sheer emotional moments are worth giving this movie a try.

This film in its entirety is a piece of art... Quintessential Bhansali cinema with great performances from all 3 lead actors...and yes Salman is great too in this one. And the music with choreography is like a class in Indian art itself. Go ahead and watch...in the end it's a love triangle!!
