Oh YES!!! (even his rehearsal session is awesome) - one of the most complex song he's ever written. This made me subscribe. When you realize that this guy also writes the soundtrack for Girl With Dragon Tattoo, Social Network, etc....
Seen them live on the "with teeth" tour...most insane energy I've ever seen live from anyone and it was absolutely flawless...Trent is a rock God for sure! The man simply does not run out of breath, it's crazy to witness
I usually prefer live over studio. But NIN is one of those you need to go back (in your own time) and give the studio a go. Make sure it's on a great sound system.
Trent frickin rules. Saw him in 89 @ a country bar with only 20 people or so in Melbourne FLA. He gave the same energy to us 20 people as he does at a show this big, thirty years later.
So glad you did this one.. This video is special to me, because I was there! 9 years after discovering NIN on that same stage in 2000 and became fan for life, I got to see them on the same stage again in 2009, and the circle was complete! This was their opener and also one of my favorite NIN songs. Epic!

I saw NIN live in Beijing China, absolutely incredible performance! Apparently they were told they couldn't play 'Closer' (CCP is sensitive about the lyrics) or the plug would be pulled, so everyone was waiting with baited breath to see if they would play it... third song in, starts the infamous drum beat, needless to say everyone went nuts and the plug wasn't pulled, what a night! Have seen them 4 times, out of about 56 other bands. They always impress me the most, it is a visual assault. The thing I love the most is the Nine Inch Nails crowd know every lyric to everything. The best band and the best fans. Make this the ultimate band to see live.
Damn, I love Trent, his live performances are out of this world. There's one live performance that I think you guys will like a lot, especially because you liked this so much. "March of the Pigs" on stage in Melbourne (3.14.2014) is probably my favourite live song from them. One of Trent's best songs, I think it matches the energy you like so much about NIN to a single song. it has lots of energy and anger, and a pleasant surprise. Performed so accurately on stage. Beautiful cinematography too. Overall outstanding performance, I heavily recommend.
NIN is amazing, but NIN live is one of the best bands ever. Still my #1 concert ever....they opened with this song when I saw them. Check out the Big Comedown live. It's a good song on the album but amazing live. Honestly the whole 1994 Woodstock remastered performance is something everyone needs to see. It was epic.

You need to watch Lights in the Sky concert tour as that show blew me away and I have seen them 4 or 5 times since 94 and that concert is still the best I have ever seen.

I wish that Tension Tour would be released on audio bc there's so many songs on Hesitation Marks that are elevated by the female vocalists. Not to mention the reinvention of "Sanctified" with Pino on the bass.🤘🏽
@@mikesmelon5714 I agree! I love the female vocalists. It gives the songs a more jazzy vibe and it works so well. I still watch Tension all the time for that reason! Plus the visuals are pretty cool too.

I was at this concert. Rammstein was on before and kicked everything of with a hell of a show and NIN sealed the deal! Hands down best festival expirience ever!
I remember when this album came out (The Fragile). I got it the day it hit stores and this was the first track on it. I was floored. I've been a NIN fan since I was 13 and saw them at Woodstock '94 (your reaction video to that was great too) and didn't think it got better than The Downward Spiral. I was wrong. This album was just perfect. I listened to it like 4 times in a row the first day i had it.
It's exciting to see you both so excited for NIN music. The whole With Teeth album, Wish...there's a lot of content you'll love. Whether you do reactions to these or not, please do listen to more. I find the music so cathartic. My bad moods are ALWAYS made better after listening to NIN
this sonic is a sonic masterpiece. the time flow in and between each part is truly mindbending. she's feeling it. trent made at least 5 dimensions of sound here with just two stereo channels. this is what its all about. art, science, emotion 🥴 musics drugs too 👏
Excellent reaction to one of my all time favourites! Subscribed for more NIN and Tool. For more NIN I'd suggest Terrible Lie, The Frail & The Wretched combo, Eraser, March of The Pigs, Burn, Wish, Last, The Fragile, The Day the World Went away or Hurt as for some of my favourites.
You really need to check out "Last" or "Burn" Live from NIN's official RU-vid channel. They have a ton of on-stage videos like this one that show just how absolutely intense their live shows are. As you mentioned in your "Happiness In Slavery" reaction, they are an experience live.

I see you guys are watching and reacting to alot of metal shows, and as much as I love NIN for their nasty heavy hitting stuff, I'm equally if not more affected by their quiet stuff, Right where it belongs is one of my favorites, and live with the visuals playing behind them gives me goosebumps everytime. Just curious if you've gone that direction at all. If not I recommend exploring all that Trent and his group of musical sorcerers do. GOAT.
Few bands are better live then in studio but NIN’s is among the best performing live. The thing is Trent built the band to perform live hence why they are so good live.
