So have I, I am making this quilt (King sized) for our son using the beautiful Stone Hinged gradients using a periwinkle background and it is coming out beautiful.
SO glad I watched this as the printed pattern shows suing the full width of the strip (page 2) third paragraph like the ruler will cover the entire strip but that actually is not true. I was ready to cut on the 5 1/2" line but checked this. Now I see why. Thanks!!!
I’m new to quilting, and to your channel. I found you through Donna Jordan, and I have already added your strip ruler to my toolkit. I loved this quilt design, and the fabrics you used. Your tutorial was brilliant, and makes it look far less daunting than I thought it would be. I’m so tempted to give the lap or throw size a go. Thank you. .
I had watched a video by Donna Jordan of her making this quilt. She had mentioned something on sub cutting? Could you tell me how much I should sub cut for a king size quilt and what exactly and how many stripes to subcut?
Did you buy and read the pattern? It should tell you how to cut for a king-size. Neither Donna (who doesn't give specific details out of respect for Daniela's copyrighted work) or Daniela, who does these demos to help sales, should be expected to give people free patterns.
I would suggest getting the larger one, that way you can cut the smaller ones but can also cut larger. I started with a more versatile large ruler then as life went on collected some smaller ones
Daniela when I initially saw the quilt I thought 💭 nope too complicated for me. So surprised to watch and learn I could make this quilt. I love the “Tonga Soleil” fabric collection but I really love 💕 the “All a Flutter” fabric collection. P.S. Your hair is always so beautiful 😱
How can I get this pattern emailed to me? Your site offers a digital version, but it doesn't seem to be downloadable and shipping is charged when I try to order. I'm in Canada
Love strip tube patterns! Extra fabric and blocks are great too. I even sew the little leftover pieces together to make blocks and use them as pieced backings to add interest. The last quilt I made had enough smaller blocks left over to make a lap quilt. Super batik fabrics. Just love making quilts out of your beautiful fabrics. Cheers!
Okay, I've just added this pattern to my "must make" list of Cozy Quilt Designs. Gorgeous!! Thanks for the tutorial, Daniela. And the lovely design, of course. ~Diana K
I grew up in SoCal (northern LA County), married a girl from Michigan, now I live in Southwest Michigan. So… I’m pretty far from El Cajon. Can I still be part of the Strip Club? I really enjoy watching Daniela’s videos.
Love this pattern! Blue and yellow is always so bright and cheery Thank you for doing all the math work for your pattern/quilt sizes. It is certainly much appreciated. .
korissa thomason VIDEOS LIKE THIS SHOULD BE NOT POSTED - thought it would be of value and it big time was not ... IM REPORTING THIS TO YOU TUBE STANDARDS AMD PRACTICE ... MAKE A BETTER ONE NEXT TIME .. PUT SOME TIME AND EFFORT INTO IT ... MAYBE HAVE AN EDITOR TAKE A LOOK PRIOR TO POSTING - CMON GUYS - LETS DO BETTER .. IM A VETERAN QUILTER AND IT IS SAD TO SEE POSTINGS LIKE THIS ! NOT GOOD FOR ANY OF US IN THE INDUSTRY
Made in China crap can hardly compete with quality fabric. Quilt shops get a much better run of fabric than the Big Box stores, and they don't use Chinese labor at fifty cents an hour. But you're welcome to your wally quilt. Just don't complain when it comes apart the third time you wash it.
