As someone who completed this game I can say this was easily one of my favorite new metroidvanias in the past couple years, and the art was incredible.

I finished it back when it released because i really loved the demo, got 100% achivements. Gorgeous game, great character art, Europa is fine as hell, Apino is cute, combat bit easy once you get a hang of it - besides the bosses that are done well. Tough but fair. The whole armor mechanic is fun, and the little touches with attacks being different is something they didn't have to do, but is just cool. If i could change something, i would add more fast travel points, but other than that - stellar game.

So glad you hit this one! I was one of the portrait-tier backers, and it definitely had a major glow-up from the initial previews. The game definitely seems super easy at first, but it gets real challenging, and the moment they take your bear it's on hard mode...that last boss was ROUGH. Cheers!

I have played this game and I'll say the movement is extremely fun, and hope they use it in their next project or revisit it in a later installment. This game has something the I wish all modern games could adapt: the fact that your armor changes automatically according to the enviroment, it makes the game much more fluid and entertaining. I really love this game, one of my favorite games of 2023.

That Dreythus fight made me remember that the Art / Sound team for Warcraft has never missed. The game, and company, may be falling apart, but you can always rely on those two departments to knock it out of the park.

I made the mistake of skipping the Reaper with the intent to return once I was stronger. Then I lost the shield-reload and it was harder instead And even with 101% collectibles, my brain just couldn't handle all the phases of the final boss battle. I ended up using a different skill set to figure out a way to cheat instead. 👀 Metroidvanias are so damn difficult these days, but this is the first one I've played where I actually gave up on finishing it legitimately. At least Metroid Dread was kinder with its autosave system.
