Thanks. My daughter just got her first bike. A 2007 250r just like the one in your video. It was sitting for 3 years with gas in it! So we have been taking it apart and learning how to clean and replace everything. Lol. You were a big help

ive got an automotive pressure/vaccum tester from blue point i think; man that thing works wonders. Fuel pumps, carbs, brakes, coolant. Literally a liquid wrench.

p.s. the way you handled that speedo needle; the grip of an elderly man bruised by arthritis but speed and precision of a praying mantis.

I use rottella as well. However T5 is not JASO MA rated the conventional 15w40 and the T6 full synthetic are however JASO MA rated for wet clutches. Not that you should have a problem just it may be better for wet clutch applications.
@TomsTinkeringandAdventures
@TomsTinkeringandAdventures 3 года назад
I generally use the conventional. Have used T5 on occasion with no adverse effects but it’s not my usual “go to oil “. I always try to recommend to use what your manual states....even though I go against my own advice. 😀😀

10w 40 is in the owners manual. 15 is not that big a difference to me either. I also don't have or use any other means than cranking the bolts good and tight. I think just regular winging it maintenance is better than doing it shop manual right but not enough times, miles wise.
@TomsTinkeringandAdventures
@TomsTinkeringandAdventures 3 года назад
I always recommend following the manual, but you can do ok with changing things up a little bit as long as you use common sense. Thanks for watching.

@TomsTinkeringandAdventures
@TomsTinkeringandAdventures 2 года назад
As long as it’s a recommended oil type in the manual, any time should be fine. I have been known to stray from the manufacturer recommendations but that’s my choice.

I have a question for you I have a ninja 250 year 2000 And he does not want to go into second third fourth fifth or sixth gear only first in neutral. Do you have any ideas?
@TomsTinkeringandAdventures
@TomsTinkeringandAdventures 4 года назад
Kawasaki has a neutral finder thing, makes it so you can’t miss going into neutral from a stop. Could be an issue with that?

Does anyone know if there is a specific brake fluid you are suppose to use on motorcycles, or can you just use any kind?
@TomsTinkeringandAdventures

Bre Ford DOT 3 or DOT 4 usually, should say right on the master cylinder cap. No reason to buy expensive stuff unless it helps you sleep well at night.
