Great video! I had to disconnect the meter connection because the back of my housing was damaged. I didn't lose my odometer reading, only clock, trip a, and trip b were reset. [2014 Ninja 300]
I don't know why you say odometer will set to zero. I unplugged twice today working on straightening my fairing fit, and no loss. Either I'm lucky, or you're incorrect.
I found that laying down next to the front tire, and reaching my hand up, was a much easier way of unscrewing the three screws. Just an FYI for anyone doing this without taking fairings off.
Hey I’ve bought a speedometer from AliExpress but the socket it’s not matching with the original one so I don’t know to install it. Could you help me please?
The only thing to get reset is the trip A and B, along with the clock. The actual ODO for the bike is still there. It is not that simple to just "reset" the ODO or there would be many many more low-mileage ninja's out there.
