I noticed the top of your frozen sorbet is not level before processing. Perhaps this is why the blade is scraping the plastic container. From the "Owner's Guide" - "35 DO NOT freeze the pint at an angle. Pints must be placed on a level surface in the freezer. Pints frozen at an angle should NOT be processed."
This is just the beginning of the video, will edit better with hundreds of other people who have the same problem. But learn that it is better to freeze without lid on. Let me try that, just bought new pints so I can check if it shave plastic. That is not a cheap body. But it looks that Ninja is not going to help because I bought the machine in Indonesië .
Better without lit, but I bought new pots and check everytime for eating if the pots are good. And leave them 10 min out of fridge before spanning. Till now 2 pots plastic two are still ok. So very expensive ice cream if you don't want to eat plastic. And I have a big pile of complains to Ninja, and nonsens anwsers. Only buy if you are in US then they change machine.
I've the NC300 for a few months, but haven't used it yet, the first use will be tomorrow. After reading reviews like this, I was considering returning the appliance, BUT, with tons of research I found that many people don't have this problem. Therefore decided to keep the NC300. I will use all of the safe guards I've learned. I did freeze pints with lid off, but still got "the hump" eventhough small. It will be flattened. Still concerned, this appliance maybe sensitive & fragile.
Check the pot on shaving before you eat your ice, that is what I do because I bought it in Indonesia online they don't want to take it back. I bought 4 new baskets and check it, if I see shaving in my pot I trow the ice cream.
