Hey, Jeff, I just cooked this recipe step by step in my Ninja Foodi, and I've got to tell you, it was delicious! The turkey and the gravy turned out amazing! Here's something you'll love hearing... I've never cooked a turkey or turkey breast in my entire life! This was just so simple and delicious that I just had to let you know! Thanks! Dougie
Made this for Christmas in my 6qt IP. It was the first time I have ever had such juicy turkey! This is now what will be used for years to come. Thank you!
I bought one today up here in Canada at a local Canadian Tire, blown away by how good wings are after the pressure and then the 15 min air fry! Now I'm making pork chops above rice and spinach;) thanks for these videos.
Thanks Jeffrey! I made this turkey breast in my Instant Pot using your recipe and it was so tender and delicious. Couldn't believe how easy it was. For the gravy, I made one variation. I used my immersion blender (which I bought because of you) in the gravy and it pureed all those carrots and celeries and made it all creamy. You are the best!
Hi Jeff, Recipe looks fabulous! I am a health care professional and just want to give you the latest info on preparation of poultry. It is no longer recommended that raw poultry be rinsed. The process of rinsing it spatters raw poultry juices all over the sink area potentially spreading bacteria. Just patting it dry is all that is really needed.
I prefer to rinse my meat to remove any dirt/impurities caused by handlers in the packing house. Sure it takes a bit more effort to clean my sink/counters, but I do it. It's the way I was taught by my mom and no one has ever gotten sick.
I was looking on youtube for 2 different videos, one to cook a turkey breast in my instant pot, and then the best thanksgiving turkey recipe. You did both thank you so much!
Nice! I was planning on skipping the whole bird and just roasting turkey breast this year. Maybe I will do it in the Instant Pot and free my oven up for the stuffing and green bean casserole!
Hi, Didi! I think that's the route I'd take. Who wants to slave in the kitchen all day and be pooped by the time all family and guests arrive? Not this gal! Lol. I'm all about efficiency and working smarter, not harder...but it's all made with love and butter, too!! 😘
Thanks Jeffrey! Really a great meal. We live in our RV, and you made this Thanksgiving a hit. We were able to make your Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, and Gravy all in our Instant Pot, and it was the bomb!
Got to say I've been to many websites learning how to cook in the Ninja foodi and grills and you make it the most interesting to watch. Cooking this afternoon a turkey breast, will comment further after tasting. Keep up, you're the best I've seen and everything I've learned from you on your channel has been fantastic.
Made this for Christmas and, oh my God! The gravy was to die for. We were fighting over leftovers (not that there was much left!). LOL Thank you for another outstanding recipe.
I have a 13 pound turkey in a roasting pan cooking on my countertop right now! I love how it frees up my oven for the sides. Friends are coming over soon to enjoy it with us. ( I bought a bigger turkey for thanksgiving and needed the space in my freezer so pre-thanksgiving dinner it is!) ❤️ very economical meal, with great leftovers to make other meals out of.
I am so glad you make these videos. What a great idea. I have an 8 quart Ninja Foodi in part because it had high ratings and after watching your videos with the Instant Pot, I’m glad I don’t have to worry about all that deglazing because the N.F. has a non-stick pot and it is HIGH quality ! The Instant Pot recipes work GREAT in the N.F. This is going to work very well ! Thanks again !
These turkey breasts go on sale on the time! So great timing! The rub sounds great. I was thinking it would all melt off but it didn’t. I haven’t had luck with cornstarch slurry. It doesn’t refrigerate or freeze well for me. Instead I use instant potato flakes. Doesn’t take much and freezes and refrigerates like a charm. Just a thought in case other people don’t have luck with cornstarch. I’m thinking of getting my brother-who is a foodie deluxe-an instant pot for Christmas and directions to your channel. Beef stroganoff anyone?
Great video, as usual. I'll look to make this verbatim for my family (wife & daughter) and... the in-laws. Oh well, can't have everything go great at Thanksgiving.
I got those meat claws, and I did this as a trial run for Thanksgiving. It is AMAZING, even though I accidentally got boneless, skinless turkey breast. The gravy is phenomenal. I did it in the Instant pot, SO easy and so fast! The meat turned out juicy and tender.
I'm a truck driver so I'm not normally watching gay guys making food but this gay guy is wicked cool because he's not super in your face outrageous or over Uber fantastic fabulous gay he still A Guy and he's kind of changing my perception I just might subscribe to his channel?!
GREAT VIDEO. And it's never to late to watch and learn from you ... no matter when! It's now Jun 21, 2022. See what I mean? Never to late to watch, listen, and learn. 😄😄😄😄
Just came across this while searching for ninja foodi turkey breast recipe. Will be perfect for Thanksgiving this year-we will be camping at the Oregon Coast. I’ll take my foodi along in the camper😊
For the past decade I’ve been in charge of making the Thanksgiving Turkey. Been brining it and cooking it the old fashioned way. Usually a 20-22 pounder, always came out tender and juicy. I’m going to try a turkey breast in my IP, brine it the same as I have been doing, but definitely make your gravy. I’ll be able to try out my immersion blender (thanks Jeff). I’ll let you know how it turns out.
I just ordered my Ninja Foodi! I hope that you make a few more Foodi recipes to go along with your outstanding Instant Pot recipes. As soon as I get the Foodi I will be doing a trial run for Thanksgiving and making a lovely turkey breast with your recipe. Thanks again for the great tutorial!
Hi Jeff and Richard. Truly enjoy watching your videos here. I love my Ninja Foodi too & must try out this recipe. It looks superb. Only question that I have for you is: Why did you use the "Bake-Roast" function instead of "Air-crisp" in the final browning stage? Is there a difference, and if so, what is it? Many thanks.
I have the 3 qt InstantPot, but it cooks the boneless 1/2 breast (about 3 lbs) perfectly. I have also used a whole cornish hen and 4 chicken breasts (bone in).
this look so good & I'm following every instruction! this is my first turkey breast! I might air fry after I bake it for more brown color. you have my vote & I'm hitting that subscribe button more more recipes in my ninja foodi! p.s thanks I love to see men cook
I have a question that requires an answer! How did you choose to use "bake" rather than "broil" or the Air Crips. Also - how do you KNOW (how will I know) how much time to set it for? I have an IP, not a NF, but I'd like to have an NF and so ...... choosing which button to push is sometimes the ???? Thanks! Looks great! Glad to hear someone choosing Kitchen Bouquet (or similar) to brown up. I have always used it for gravies.
Hah..perfect timing! Just got my Instant Pot last month...(and subscribed to your channel) just bought my 7?lb turkey breast two days ago! Did he mention how long to brown in the oven after the pressure cook if you are using Instant Pot? I was going to brush on some butter and do 400 degrees for 15 minutes?
Once , again, Jeff must have peeked at my shopping list. Just bought a turkey breast this morning, before going into work. When I came home, I see the notice of Jeff's latest upload on how I will be cooking it. Thank you Jeff! From Thom in Pittsburgh
It looks great and far more information than another video I just watched. I'm wondering why you didn't use the empty cavity inside the breast to cook the carrots, celery and have space for some small potatoes?
Yum! That looks great! Lucky Richard, getting to eat up your lovely meals. Do you make cranberry sauce in the instant pot, as well? I would love to see your version of that. I’ve watched others’ but Pressure Luck is my favorite.
I am tempted to do this. My husband really only likes the dark meat except the breast if cooked sous vide. But id love to see if its as moist done in IP. I just tried the garlic better than bouillon you recommended. Love it. Adds a ton of flavor.
My Christmas List that I’ve submitted to Santa/wife includes every cookbook you have on the market. I’ve been so impressed with so many recipes, this one is on the top of my list. Oh, and my wife I think has taken a shine to you and Richard on RU-vid and Facebook. I don’t do Facebook. Have a Great Thanksgiving 👨🏽🍳
Jeff, this looks so great! Question. I just bought a nice Gourmia 2500 air fryer, and i have an Insta Pot, Deluxe. Should i get the Ninja? Is it really that much better?
You can cook any meat in a PC, even frozen solid chunks. One of the first things I cooked was a 4.5 lb. corned beef, which was frozen solid. However, to get the yummy glaze of brown sugar and mustard on it, once it was bathed in the concoction, a 30 min. visit inside the oven topped it off! But, we didn’t have to wait all day as cooking it in a slow cooker or leaving it out to thaw for a day. That’s was great about IPs or PCs. You can grab that frozen chunk o’ beef and toss it in your IP and relax! Dinner will be ready in a fraction of the time!
I made this today for a potluck dinner. My turkey breast weighed 4 pounds which was the largest the market had. I cooked it as your recipe indicated and put it into the oven (I have an Instant Pot) for about 10 minutes to brown. It rested once out of the oven for about 30 minutes before I carved it. It was so dry-not a bit of moisture in it. The only saving grace was the gravy, which was really tasty. Should the cooking time be adjusted for the size of the turkey breast? If 35 minutes is right for the higher weight, should the time be lower for a smaller one? Would this recipe work for turkey thighs and legs?
Two questions. I’m new to instant pot and just discovered the mealthy crisper. 1. Should I slightly undercook my food to take into account browning time, for let say, this turkey breast? 2. If you keep poking those long forks into the turkey to keep transfer between several locations, will it dry out the turkey, by letting out the juices, every time you poke it?
Thanksgiving 2020 is over and NOW I'm ready to cook a turkey breast. So...a couple of things....I'm thinking I might pierce the breast as in your whole chicken in the Instant Pot recipe that of course was published later than this...so that the glaze goes under the skin. Also...I prefer a gravy that's smooth for turkey so I think I'm going to use the immersion blender to smooth out all those vegetables to make a rich, flavorful smooth gravy.
I noticed he didn't use the air fryer basket. I cooked a whole chicken yesterday and it was moist and tender. But I did use the fryer basket like the recipe says. How was yours?
FreedumFries ...you can always buy an Airfryer....just won’t have compactness of an all in one unit. In fact my friend bought an Airfryer because she loves her iPot. But she does say now she has two appliances instead of one like the Foodi
Great video as usual! We’ll definitely be trying this soon. I wish the Foodi had a stainless steel insert rather than the nonstick aluminum one. We have instant pots for this reason. If we need a quick browning we put it in our Breville air frier oven xl.
Hard Truth ....I thought the same....wished Foodi had SS sleeve like my ipot . After I bought Foodi and have used it’s ceramic non stick sleeve...I really love it. Cleanup a snap. I Pressured cook Ribs...then slathered them in BBQ sauce....used air fryer. I thought what a mess. Cleanup was a snap....no soaking or scrubbing.
EpicConspiracy I’ve been using instants pots for a few years now and never have sticking issues. My issue is the aluminum. All of my cookware is either stainless steel or cast iron. I dumped a full collection of high end anodized aluminum years ago.
Which would be better? Straining the gravy first or emulsify the vegetables? If emulsify veggies would it change the taste of the gravy? Could you make one for just one turkey breast ? Some are sold as one. Could you also brine the breast as you did the whole turkey? Thanks
Need to edit the downloadable (printed) recipe......it has paprika in there, but no paprika in the video. I'm trying this in a couple of days. Mine is in the fridge thawing now.
