I played this game when it first came out on the original Xbox. The game is a classic and has stood the test of time. The graphics are still beautiful. I was so proud of myself when I completed it. I'm tempted to buy it and try to complete it on the hardest mode this time
I'm tempted to get a Series X before a PS5 just to replay this game! Because, the console's footprint is so small, I might be able to squeeze it in what little space I have left where I'm staying right now! (And for the next-gen games, too, I guess.)
Forest Winds is my favorite! Especially to use against the blue fire fiends in the sewer. To finally put them in their place! (Because, they like to cheap shot me sometimes as I'm whittling them down with other weapons.) So, once I get the UF, I run back through them out of spite. I know they're dead by the second hit but, I love showing my absolute disrespect for them! I also like lining 'em up so they go flying into their buddies. XD
Actually, using this weapon on cat fiends isn't so bad as XXY or ->Y/counter attacks will pretty much one shot them even if you're at high health. Wall attacks will also instagib them, so it's not a bad weapon to use. Ironically, I wouldn't use the Flails against cat fiends as it just takes too long to kill them, however. Sure, you can counter attack and Demon Chaser them, or Guillotine Throw and Red-Hot Iron Brand them, but it takes more time and effort.
Who will win? The entire demon population including all the greater fiends, a heavily armored military battalion , plus a buff muscular guy with the dark dragon blade that enhances his strength and grants new powers by turning him purple, Or…. a dude with a piece of wood?
Does the Wooden Sword get even incrementally better as you upgrade it 1 - 6 times? I'm doing a Wooden Sword run on normal, and I don't want the Unlabored Flawlessness, but it'd be nice if the Wooden Sword could get even slightly more powerful.
@@JayTB123 Really? I know that in NG2004 it glowed a bit too on your comparison video, but I didn't know the regular Wooden Sword could increase power on low health. Good to know, thanks. :-) One more question if you don't mind. Near the end of chapter 5 I think, you face some black Ninjas, than a few white soldiers and then three red/black demon t-rexs. Do you have a strategy for dealing with the demon t-rexs with a Wooden Sword? I'm using a combination with the Potency Armlet and Wind Shuriken. I know that later on, when you return to the first Doku Arena after you beat him, there's a demon t-rex challenge, so I need to work out a way to deal with them... And I guess the big skeleton zombies. Basically any enemy with a massive health bar is going to be a challenge, such as the laser crabs later on. I guess I haven't found that high powered combination many other weapons have. Even the regular Nunchucku is way easier to use, because of the Potency Armlet, you can demolish near anything with those kicking combinations and throws.
Kinda funny that the most hard hitting thing in the game, Muramasa's masterpiece, Can't smash a wall of dirt, maybe its cuz it can only hurt the soul, ethereal damage
Probably. Or they didn't set it because it's technically not that heavy of a weapon, what with it being an extension of the Wooden Sword and made out of the same material. Or they just wanted to have players use something other than the UF should they be proficient enough to use it all the time. Or they just forgot to activate the "Wall Breaker" flag. Anything of these are possible, really.
