Advice from 13 years of experience 😊 The bone giant boss fight is one of the easiest if u use dragon's claw and tiger's fang using forward triangle or Y if u an xbox player and the fight will end in less than one minute 😉
I wish there was someway Itagaki could come back to Techmo and work on Ninja Gaiden 4. Even if we get another Ninja Gaiden my hopes aren’t high with him not being apart of the project.
Seriously, how do you not have more subs?? After watching some of your boss rankings/guides (a brilliant idea to combine the two, btw), I feel like you ought to have like 10x as many as you currently do. Looking forward to checking out the rest of your content, it’s all been super enjoyable and helpful so far; thanks for taking the time to put these videos together!
@@Codiferrous I feel that - the hope is that someday this YT thing will be the job, but who knows. In the meantime, it’s enough to take enjoyment from the work, I’ve found. Mind you, I’ve only been doing it for less than a year.
People don't believe me when I say 1/3 of NG2 is a third-person shooter. :( This is how I'd rank bosses: *Turn my brain off and 360Y them with dual katanas* 19. Bone Giant 18. Volf (both) 17. Giant Worm (okay, 360Y didn't cut, but I just did 360UT with the staff, so it's the same idea) 16. Rasetsu (both, okay at those points, I didn't get dual katanas yet, but he's very vulnerable to a specific string with the staff, so same idea) 15. Archfiend 2nd form *Slightly turn my brain on, but still 360Y them with dual katanas* 14. Armadillo (both) 13. Alexei 12. Blind Giant *I actually have to aim with my bow :(* 11. Water Dragon 10. Archfiend 1st form *I actually have to pay attention* 9. Dagra Dai 8. Genshin 7. Alexei redux 6. Genshin redux 5. Elizébet (both) 4. Fiend Genshin *Just fuck my shit up* 3. Zedonius (both) 2. Giga Death 1. Twin Dragons
The worst thing about the ghostfish is that the replacement for the fire wheels ninpo is FAR less useful at keeping them away and IIRC has straight up limited ammo. The old fire wheels is just total immunity to ghostfish for its whole duration.
Probably the greatest enemy is the game camera, considering that i it's hard to follow the action of some fight. That's said, very interesting video. I hope you'll do also other games!
I'm surprised you had so much trouble vs Volf's first fight. He was honestly one of my favorites. It's probably cuz I love the scythe so much, on repeat playthroughs the second I get the Eclipse Scythe after taking him down, I just cleave through the beastmen. Idk that weapon just feels like it was partially made to dispatch them cuz of the amount of dmg it deals in a few swings. And killing so many lets you throw out a ton of the Scythe's charge shockwave attacks to get through them faster. Eh, must be the difference in playstyles cuz I love trying to utilize almost every weapon I can. The claws are one of my favorites cuz of its high-speed, in your enemies' faces go nuts playstyle along with the scythe for just being this giant, slow but deadly powerhouse of a weapon. Overall tho good vid, I really enjoyed it a lot. There's a massive lack of appreciation for the NG series out there. Hoping that the upcoming Master Collection could help bring in some more new players and expand the fanbase for these underrated gems.
Yeah his struggles might be because he was new to the game and used the Dragon Sword for his entire playthrough, which is better at dispatching isolated single targets. The Staff is good for AoE, the Talons are best at quickly clipping everything to death, Dual Swords trade some single target damage for AoE, the Scythe is just raw power, the Kusuri-gama and Flail are "get away from me" tools where the difference is in range and damage, and the Tonfa... honestly they're just flashy.
So far the extra comments were golden jajajaja they were hilarious and the detail to the bosses was textbook , you are a really good ninja gaiden player
I was playing this for the first time last year and I didn't know that you could block the armadillos death blast so I had to book it to the far side of the arena to survive
I must've gotten super lucky after nuclear armadillo. I barely beat him with a scrap of health left and no items, i did a weird animation where i climbed on his head and executed him like shadow of the colossus lol and i just jumped away assuming he'd blow up like half the mech dickhead enemies on the deadalus, i didn't block but i did survive. So happy i didn't have to redo that bullshit
my luck just ran out, i defeated the twin armadillo shits and died to the 2nd one's nuclear blast, and then i defeated them AGAIN but because i was being stingy on my items i didn't want to heal because i was close to the heal and save checkpoint and so i died to the hell hounds or whatever and of course there's no checkpoints after boss fights so i had to beat the twin armadillos THREE TIMES😭
The first time encountered the stupid armadillo, I died too many times. My way to survive could be considered out of the box, I used a life of a thousand gods, it heals and makes you impervious to most if not all of the explosion, letting you survive the damn explosion when you time it right.
Hello there! This is a great video, and I would like to thank you for the advise about the worm in Chapter 9. I never thought i could bow-shoot him, I always did UT on him and well, get a little damage in the process. Now i think this will save me a great amount of time and cures. Also, I encourage you to try the game in Mentor and MN, and give it a try at this list for that. Also you will have great fun (and maybe you will break some controls).
Archfiend tip: use nimpo when the spectres attack to negate their damage and you can do a bit of damage to the archfiend Bone giant tip: use the lunar staff's charge attack or the kura-gami
On Warrior, I didn't struggle as much with these bosses only because I had already beaten Gaiden Black on Master Ninja multiple times and beaten all the fiend challenges, so I knew about how to play safe and cheese lolol
Codiferrous and one more thing, while it isn’t about bosses, which chapter from one of the two games did you find most annoying or tedious? Chapter 14 from Ninja Gaiden Black with the ghost fish? Or Chapter 11 from ninja Gaiden 2 with the claw ninjas (The ass ninjas with the exploding shurikens) personally, I disliked chapter 11 more thanks to the explosions.
I don’t understand how for the most part the early bosses are harder like I expected Elizabet to be a bitch to fight sense the game seemed to hype her up as some kind of major enemy and I kicked her ass on the first try but when I started the game genshin on his first encounter took me like 40 tries
I found the water dragon not as bad. I climbed on his back and used dual swords a lot. Then at around a quarter health left you can press Y on his head and it will go into an auto kill mode.
Funny enough, I got knocked into that room by sheer accident by that boss worm demon. Such a easy fight. And they outright removed it from Sigma 2, which I can kinda understand... XD
Fav game ever! Just pointing it out that anyone who's played the sigma version only is missing out! Sigma is dumbed down in every way, seriously I can't figure out why they released it? In my first play through of sigma I never died once, like it wasn't even a mild challenge.
i love this game its my favorite hack n slash game ever but that damn camera is so zoomed out i cant see anything say what you will about ng3 but the camera angle in that game is so much better
i always see people saying gigadeath was really hard, but for me he was finished really easily. even on harder difficulties, i never found him very tough and breezed through the fight
I used a LV3 Lunar Staff underwater against the Water Dragon (button spam Y), you hit fast enough and there's enough knockback from the staff that you can hit the water dragon in the chest to kill it.
Lmao this. It's incredibly cheap and you can still get hit fairly often by his tentacle impale grab attack, but it makes the Water Dragon into a "turn your brain off and spam Y" type of boss.
That’s honestly one of the most fucked up game mechanics not giving you a checkpoint after a boss fight games nowadays give you a checkpoint after a boss fight
The bow literally locks on to the head of the archfiends first form and for the armadillo fights just use incendiary shuriken. Use circle on left stick plus Y with eclipse scythe on zedonious and try getting him stuck by a wall. Fiend genshin just like regulargenshine is week to the single press of Y with the eclipse scythe, just hit confirmeach time and you should be able to get 3-4 hits in after each combo he does. Twin quetzalcoatl just use art of the piercing void. 2 at max level even on master ninja will kill 1 of them. With volf use the falcons talons and use the forward or toward enemy on left analog stick plus XXX and this will stun lock volf to death, so a super easy fight.
NINJA GAIDEN 2 XBOX 360 IS A TOUGH GAME. more enemies and blood some of bosses battle with NINJA clan was tough to get beat up. More challenge more enemies every where , NINJA GAIDEN 2 2008 Still Look great for 15 years Genshi and Elizabeth give me hard time every time lolll
Currently playing Sigma 2 on Master ninja where every single grapple, is an instant kill on Ryu.... Including the trash mob grapples, is incredible annoying Oh... and even a white ninja in the first chapter (the weakest mob there is) can tank a max-level Dragon Blade ultimate... it's rediculous
I fought the water dragon on his terms it was infuriating but I beat him first try It was a good portion of luck absolutely zero skill all of my healing items and all of my ninpo and ninpo items Edit: also for Volf after I beat him I just jumped away from the enemies with the eclipse scythe and used ultimate techniques Something I had gotten lucky enough to figure out early on is if you hold down the y button upon landing it initiates an ultimate technique quicker making the werewolves absurdly easy to beat
@@Codiferrous in the time since I have left this comment I have learned an even more effective method of beating the water dragon The falcon talons running on water and pressing y then using ninpo to have invincibility frames through his homing attacks
It's funny, comparing the top 5 of this game to the top 5 of the first game shows how much the difficulty of this game relied on frustrating, as opposed to complex mechanics. I know people swear by Ninja Gaiden 2, but I'm sorry, it represents the worst type of difficulty.
For Gigadeath I find using Lunar Stuff's 360 UT as the most reliable, albeit risky way to beat it. Then again going through Master Ninja path I use Lunar Stuff exclusively as a lot of enemies don't stagger easily with Dragon Sword or Falcon's Talons. Dagra Dai is the only boss so far I didn't understand how to properly fight and I dread that day when I finally face him on Master Ninja.
Oh one more thing but I might be wrong your channel is set to for kids so I dont know if it will get recommended like content not for kids. I dunno might be totally off
Im on my first playthrough of this game and i love everything about it to the difficulty and fights but idk if i got lucky but i 1 tried every fight so far besides genshin first fight and so far i just 1 tried bone giant and water dragon
Another good video. Good job. My only complaint is that while some of your jokes could be funny, your range of emotion doesn't exist/is not apparent making them all come off deadpan and lifeless. I would work on your delivery.
