The4thSnake I was poking fun at the fact that it seems like fans aren't often able to talk about DOA without discussing the series sexuality. The games are marvelous.

If nothing else, you can always rely on Team Ninja to make games that are fun to play unless they're called Ninja Gaiden 3.

NG3 was a shocking drop in quality, wasn't it? It definitely made people wonder if Tecmo made a mistake in letting Itagaki go. I like Ni-oh, but I hope Gaiden 4 is on the way. The final entry in the series can't be that terrible.

It could even tie into Nioh with Jin Hayabusa.

DOA2U was the one that got me intro the franchise. I liked 3 well enough but I love U. ;) Yeah, I don't get it either. She's kind of a prick, yet they put her in Warriors Orochi 3, Warriors All-Stars, Fatal Frame V, Senran Kagura, Ninja Gaiden.

Her design most likely. Despite (before Marie and Honoka) Kasumi being the poster girl of DOA, Ayane was ALOT more noticeable. From the purple stand-out hair, that signature dress and bow, the butterfly motif and the "no bullshit" attitude, she rose through as a very prominent character, even making the next game she was involved in, about her.

Since when? Ryu was voiced by 3 different people: Justin Gross in NG1, Josh Keaton in NG2 and Troy Baker in NG3. Batman was voiced by Kevin Konroy in all Arkham games.

Jo was originally named Ken. Ken and Ryu is weirder IMO.

It can't. Ayane knows Irene during NG3, but not during DOA1-4, as shown in Dimensions. And DOA is all post-Classic Gaiden.

@@The4thSnake ayane doesn't even really know irene during ng3. Then there is the issue of again...jo being dead. Obviously some things won't add up, matter were you place it as. it was meant to be a reboot after all . You can't explain irene but you can explain job hayabusa because it's literally stated how he got blinded and shown that he died. The irene thing isn't important. She died and ryu needed to use the dragon sword to revive her yet in the anime which is a sequel, he still has the dragon sword. The fact that they aren't married yet proves this... so checked to make sure and even the ninja gaiden wiki puts ng3 before the nes games.

@@reggielacey2235 Him losing the Dragon Sword is obviously not canonical anymore, since he still has it in all the DOAs too. The classics probably aren't canon anymore, in all honesty.

Thanks mate! I looked it up. The Aerosmith song in question is called Nine Lives. It feels so good to finally figure out the name of that song after years of just mumbling "menya metta momo" to myself after discovering this game as a kid. (Probably not the best age range to get into DOA, but whatever.)

Daniel Cook I always thought it was odd that the Xbox games are a prequel to the NES trilogy. Because in the NES trilogy, Ryu was portrayed as kind of an underdog, and not nearly as powerful as he is in the Xbox games. He doubts himself a lot, and seems a lot less experienced. In the Xbox games....he’s an unstoppable killing machine. People are literally terrified of this guy. He has little to no emotion and is kind of ruthless and a lot more confident in his abilities. So he goes from a merciless killing machine who is on Kratos levels of unstoppable.......to a less confident and slightly weaker form of himself? I never liked that they did that. It would be like if the Metal Gear Solid games were set before the MSX ones.....

SageofSorrow yeah I thought they weren't but yaiba reveals that the nes adventures did happen yes team ninja has confirmed multiple times the Xbox games are reboots but the classics are still there. Razor's edge is after doa4 yet Jo is alive but it is likely cause of yaiba that the nes games happened just certain events in them were altered to fit the 2004 timeline. If you watch this and look up timeline in dead or alive wiki which gives you the classic one and modern and add what The4thSnake mentions on this video things will ultimately make sense.

Said the fatal frame ayane dlc was canon which it wasn't, said the dlc fighters weren't canon and again they are, not only does warrior's all stars hint at this with ayane and the dynasty warriors girl but mai is literally confirmed to be canon to doa in both 5 and 6, her case is like akuma in tekken. He also got the timeline wrong in some areas for example the anime is further in the timeline. But he doesn't even seem to really care based on things he said about both franchises in other videos

In ng3 2012 it said it was some months after defeat of archfiend and Jo had recovered but ended up blind also ng3 never mentions doa this means either it takes place after sigma 2 or just before doa 1 however team ninja could be fucking with us. Of course it is possible and nioh to me is prequel cause Hayabusa clan is mentioned in bloodshed dlc
