Ninja Kamui begins with a man being hunted through the streets by a never ending hoards of assassins. He fights them off and appears to gain the upper hand until the leader deals the final blow and slices the man's head off. The victors disappear into the night, heading for their next target.
Our main character, Joe Logan, a man living in the middle of America on a farm with his family. There is a sense of unease but everything is normal and he goes about life, day by day. He's on guard and there is more to him. One night, he's attacked by the assassins. They kill his wife and young son, and he collapses from his wounds only to wake up. A dead man walking. He recovers in a hospital only to be attacked again and have his vengeance against the man who killed his family and vows revenge on the clan that is hunting him.
