I can't stop smiling.... Soo cool ! I LOVE this channel... Have the cake mixes...never used canned frosting.... on my 'To Do & To Get' list.... Right after your SPEEDI meatloaf we're making next Wed ! Making one sub....using Butter instead of Veg Oil... :)
Hi James. LOVE your channel. One question: did you use the bake times suggested on the box? I want to cook frozen battered shrimp that is normally 12 minutes at 425 in an oven. Would it be the same here?
Could one bake bread in it? Also, what are the dimensions across the front including the bit that sticks out left of the lid please. I’m trying to figure if it will fit in my camper van cupboard!
When they sold the Speedi on HSN and QVC they showed a cake they made and they used the steam bake and the cake was very moist and thick. They said that steaming was how high end bakeries did their cakes.
I had to go back and see how I did my first choc cake..I told James I could not remember but I went back and did a search and it was steam and bake..it changed the texture of the cake and we would not eat and threw in garbage. I want a cake like when you do it in reg oven..steam and bake yep was moist and was thick but a nasty texture.
So I watched this video to see how you got the cake out of the pan- and it was the only thing you didn’t show😂 Please tell me how to get it out without breaking it?
40 mins seems long for a convection and small cake. did it dry out? everything is good when it's hot, I wonder next day if you find it moist. seems like a long cook.
Question, is the texture of the cake the same as in regular oven..I did a choc cake and I really dont remember the setting :( but the texture was awful and the whole thing got thrown in the garbage and since then to scared to do another in the speedi. btw, thats my favorite cake!!
Pam and anything that contains soy or sunflower lecithin doesn't play well with nonstick, it causes a nasty sticky feel to your items and it can ruin them
