It was sad with the ending but seeing the “in loving memory of Kirby Morrow” was the saddest part. The characters can always come back. But the voice behind them cannot
I find it kinda funny that seasons centered about Jay and Nya both have "Bound" at the end, start with S, and the first part before bound has 3 letters.
Seabound is peak Great villain, Nya’s at her best, storytelling is mature and actually sticks to its stakes before the next season p much instantly reverses it as usual with Ninjago lol. The underwater parts were lively and animated well too
Villain was a boring Pythor ripoff, his only motivation is racism (boring). Nya is at her best, but the next season reverses the effects of season 15, so in the end is doesn't even matter. The storytelling is decent at best, we've seen better stories in season 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 13 etc.
@@QUBIQUBED he’s not a Pythor ripoff at all lol, his motivations actually stemmed from an inferiority complex by feeling as though he were inadequate as an heir despite *being* the deserving son. It’s the divide between his status/upbringing and his poor character. Meanwhile, his brother came into the status from essentially nothing, but displayed more leadership and goodness than him. It’s a great dynamic and a good motivation. The next season reversing what the previous season setup isn’t a knock against Seabound lol, it’s a knock against the season that chose to take away the punch that Seabound setup. That would be like me saying Zane’s sacrifice in rebooted sucks actually because the show got renewed for new seasons and they had to bring Zane back later in the story.
Ok random thought that doesn’t really involve much of this season but how does Kai have brown hair? Both his parents have black hair and we never see his grandparents so we don’t actually know where his brown hair really comes from.
Seabound is my second favorite season (after Skybound) and that's mostly because of Nyas character. We really see how far she has come since the beginning of the series and her sacrifice to save Jay and the others are both heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. Speaking of Jay he gets a lot of justice this season when he both power up the batteries and fight Kalmaar single handed in the finale. Another great thing about this season is that it isn't scared of getting dark, for example Kalmaar killing his dad, Jay almost drowning and Nyas sacrefice in the end.
Nah bro this one is not it. Its just a glorified recap. You fail to criticize important plot points. Seabound has flaws I mean look at Papergirl that has the worst message of the show. Important to mention is that the Merlopians are probrably not snakes rather eels.
I don’t know why but for some reason season 13 appeals to me more as the best season of the 11 min era. Seabound is amazing but it takes a bit to get to the conflict and the middle episodes are rushed. Also knowing how nya’s sacrifice is handled really weakens it for me. I love season 13 because it ends on a beautiful note and Cole has an amazing arc that takes its time. I also like the skull sorcerer more of a villain because he represents everything that Cole stands against. And the side characters in this season are great and only proove that Cole is an amazing character with good leadership skilled. Don’t get me wrong, benthomaar is good. However, the upply serve as a well written plot device for Cole to show his leader ship skills and lead them out of their depression. Yet again, don’t get me wrong, benthomaar is an amazing character with good backstory, but he never really does anything other than help the ninja escape. He’s kinda just there for the second half without strengthening nya. Also Nya’s power ups are rushed. I do think the ending is better without crystallized existing but yet again knowing how her sacrifice is handled later on. Cole’s story ends off with a good note and although he returns to making food jokes I still feel like for the mean time he was a great character better than post-seabound nya. Anyone agree? Edit: I agree Nya’s sacrifice caps off her quest to be defined as something else other than just “Kai’s Sister” or “Jay’s GF” But still it’s so poorly handled in crystallized. Also I like Cole and Vania’s Dynamic as well.
All the ninjago fans had 100% faith that the island were an excellent season, but when it came out, was one of the forgettable and bad season. When Seabound came out theres no faith of that season and When go out the season, it was like all the ninjago fans like it and save the year of 10th anniversary of ninjago, and also was a dark season that you can enjoy at whatever time. 🐐
12:37 sure would be a shame if this didn't have permanent ramifications! Or at least change something about Nya permanently.... ...Crsystalized be like (and her powers return as well....wow what good writing)
@@doctorofskillz2932 nah season 3 was okay. It had a lot of bad stuff, it was too short, love triangle, story in the middle. But it also had great moments. Strong begining and finale, sensei garmadon, return of elemental powers, technological vibe, episode in space was pretty fun. Definetly not as bad as seasons 7, 11 or 15
@@Ciastek721 TBH jay and nya are my favorite characters so the love triangle docks a lot more points for me. Plus bringing back the overlord screams we don't know what to do so just throw together something while we think of things for next season
Sorry, but no, people only like Master of the mountain because it's a cole season, its just your average Ninjago season lol, seabound has actual emotions that'll make you cry
@@MiahDevelope Garbage take, I think seabound is the best season, but motm slander is diabolical, the DND rejects were so fun, the skull sorcerer was way better than kalmar, andif it weren't for the last 5 episodes of seabound motm would be far and away the best season.
This is my least favorite season of Ninjago. At first it was Skybound, but compared to this, it was a masterpiece. I think Skybound is just mediocre now. Seabound is just awful. Nya is annoying, Kalmaar is fun but a huge rip-off of Pythor (a better villain). Also, I didn't care about Nya's sacrifice. She was so annoying in this season; I don't care about her. Every other ninja's character is just "comedic relief" here. And you perfectly described Benthomaar's origin.
when was the last season a flood completely almost wiped out ninjago this was a banger with the huge serpent and its backstory so I don’t have no clue what u on about
@@MoiMe-h7o Nya was decent in the first five seasons, and in the Oni trilogy. Usually, she is just okay. But here, she is insufferable, but I'm supposed to care about her? Same in Skybound.
I enjoyed the season while I watched it, but, yeah, I somehow don't remember much about it either. I also completely forgot about the Merlopian episode in Dragons Rising. Somehow these guys don't stick in my head. By the way, those snakes are actually eels. They just look very snakelike because LEGO was re-using Serpentine molds. Oh, and there is actually no sign that Nya and Jay are actually married. They clearly both want to, but we haven't seen it happen or seen any sign that it did happen. So far we just have her accepting his proposal, so they are enganged. (Also, the producers confirmed that they are not married yet. Wonder if they are in "Dragons Rising", it never comes up.)
What do you mean: every mother ever? My mum never did any of this. I was responsible for my own stuff. She would complain if my room was a mess, but it was my responsibility to keep it clean and tidy
I didnt even watch season 11, 12, 13, and, 14 until crystallized came out and I felt like watching them. But I fell like season 15 was not needed as now they added all this wojira stuff to the beginning lore.
Only s15 was useless was because they undid everything they did in s16 crystallized just said “Frick sea bounds plot build up and nyas sacarfice we are undoing all of that”
