It’s a fine film that did exactly what it needed to do as far as breathing new life into the theme is concerned. It stands alone completely, so you can just flat out ignore it if you’d like, and it brought over some great designs and status quo shifts that helped set up franchise highs shortly following its release. As a movie, it’s nothing too great, but nothing too bad either. It’s a Lego movie
The movie was awesome! I hate how everyone hates on the movie because it's not canon to the show, but in my honest opinion that makes the movie even better! Not only that but they got legends like Jackie Chan to be in the movie, which no one was expecting at all (I know I wasn't). Tbh If it wasn't for the Lego movie franchise I seriously doubt we would have ever got a Ninjago related movie.
It's a good movie unless you're a ninjago fan. This movie was made primarily for people who liked the lego movie and stuff and not for the people who are into ninjago.
Ye the movie title is NINJAGO MOVIE but it's all about Lloyd and his dad!! How about the other ninja? They kinda reboot it at the movie so why they didn't just focus on the ninja first like teenage mutant ninja turtles movies I mean like how they become a ninja. I don't like the villain to they didn't even actually fight and the ending was Soo Baad but I get it but it's so badly exicuted
Tv series version we don’t see LEGO bricks on to some people don’t know why. Ninjago movie version we finally get to see LEGO bricks. Cat knocking down LEGO building some pieces broke the laws of physics of LEGO toy I think using bootleg bricks breaks apart to replicate the laws of physics.
I’ve actually watched the movie and its amazing I don’t get how people hate it and I feel like it’s overhated because people don’t watch it . I love the humor in the movie too
Imo, The LEGO Ninjago Movie is decent, albeit flawed. Almost like it wanted to be the LEGO Batman Movie and LEGO Movie combined; what made the twist of the latter work is that the entire film was set up by the imagination of a kid called Finn after we were given heavy foreshadowing to the void outside of Lord Business' headquarters. His father, The Man Upstairs was against his visions, as both characters were parallels to Emmet and Lord Business; at the end, Emmett/Finn finally encouraged them to embrace creativity as adults, and Lord Business/The Man Upstairs fixed everything they broke for them, until a sequel hook with the Duplons/Bianca. But the addition of Meowtra felt forced to make it feel like another chapter in the LEGO Movie IP and intersect with the first film's twist, let alone the original pitch being transferred to the underwhelming special Day of the Departed; though I kinda felt like they lacked other "pet kaiju" in the LEGO Ninjago Movie's continuity, it would be cool if they would fight some sick looking monsters. Also, I just love Garmadon for how comedic he could get, including his chemistry with Lloyd. The Ninja were also pretty entertaining, alongside Zane(who misunderstood modern day trends cuz he's a robot you know), and Sensei Wu(Jackie Chan did amazing as him in the movie aside from Master Chifu in the Kung Fu Panda movies). All in all, a very decent adaption, until the LEGO Movie 2 The Second Part ultimately killed future plans for this franchise thanks to oversaturation. Something that the Spiderverse franchise would most-likely avoid.
I didn't like it and I still don't. I had high expectations for this movie when I was younger, and I really really loved the show. The movie was just disappointing to me. With Lloyd being the only character to develop, and I didn't like the new voice actors except Lloyd's and Wu's. But the humor was good. If you did like the movie I respect that.
i honestly don't understand the hate towards this movie, at all. i get it, it's non-canon, and many hate the designs, and that a lot state that it doesn't have a target audience as to how it's too mature for kids yet too childish to adults. watched this movie when it came out as a kid, absolutely adored it. and rewatched it a few times. and after a while i rewatched it as an adult, and whoop-dee-doo. i still love the movie. just gonna say, don't listen to the critics, the movie's flawed, but practically everything is.. if you love it, you love it. hate it? then hate it. this movie was meant to merely be a comedy. just accept it people.
It was pretty bad, as a ninjago fan since the beginning, it was disappointing, people were jerks to Lloyd, Garmadon was either their friend or enemy, The ninja actually liked Garmadon more than Lloyd, even though he got rid of Wu. Also it was lame how they dealt with a cat instead of snakes, dragons, or monsters
Yes, it is that bad. I hate this movie with every ounce of my blood. Instead of a faithful adaption of something like the pilots, we get a total misinterpretation of the franchise that spits in the faces of those who like the show, getting the entire lore and character personalities so wrong to the point that this doesn’t even feel like a ninjago movie in the slightest.
It's not a misinterpretation, or misrepresentation of characters... it's a whole different universe. It's clearly not tied to the universe of the show. Like how the Lego Star Wars videos aren't canonically tied to the real life movies.... it's a different take. A reimagining. Why are ppl taking this so srsly
