Wow we need Kirby collection for the 3ds, also great video very informative I'm getting a 3ds xl this Friday picked up dragon quest joker 2, Mario kart 7 and ocarina of time with a few accessories, excited to get my hands on my first 3ds :)

The XL looks pretty slick, and at only 2cm wider and ~3cm longer than the original model, I think it's fair to say it's the preferable 3DS to buy now. NSMB2, and 2D games in particular, will look gorgeous on that big screen.

I got my 3DS at the most amazing time. It was like destined haha. I got the 3DS XL right after it came out and bought it about October 3. As soon as I got it, I got Zelda to go with it. By the time I was done with Zelda, I checked the eShop and got myself the new Art Academy. After that a friend of mine gifted me NSMB2 from the eShop, and once I finished the main story in that, I saw Starfox, Mario Kart, and SM3DL come to the Eshop. And now all these great announcements for games I love! =]

Incredibly exciting news, Nintendo! I can't wait for the 3DS XL. It's just what I wanted. If it came out in white in the US, I'd snatch it over the offered colors but as it is that blue looks quite nice. Thank you.

Yeah but the experience you get from Pikmin 2 adds a whole lot of depth with the subterranean levels, 3 new Pikmin species, over 200 treasures to find and discover (some that are related to Nintendo's history), the ability to split up your army with Olimar and Louie, tons of power ups for your captains, and much more

@EDWARD RUANE: Make sure you buy a 3DS XL in the region you live, since they are region locked. (ie games you buy in US won't work on a European 3DS)

You are partially true. The Dsi XL did make it more pixely, but then again, it came out later in the DS life cycle. This is being released rather early, and Nintendo pretty much used us as beta testers to see what technology we would prefer. Apparently, we prefer large, more accessible screens and dual analog sticks. Oh, and our favorite colors are red and blue. Not complaining about red though ^_^

I'll admit that there are many different types of mario games, but they all end up coming out with new games in their series that do little to differentiate them from the previous games. All of the Mario Party games are practically the same thing. Same goes for Mario Kart, the 2D platformers, 3D platformers, and all that other stuff.

No games will be made specifically for the 3DS XL for the fact that it is just a 3DS, just with lager screens, so of course NSMB2 will work on your regular 3DS.

Like with any 3DS, I'd assume you can perform a system transfer from your old 3DS to the 3DS XL if you wish to have one and transfer all your old ambassador games.

I'm excited about the foreseeable prospects in what Nintendo has to offer in the near future but there are a few discrepancies I have with the supposedly "NEW" content they'll have.Nintendo has always played it safe by sticking to what's worked for them in the past.They are not ones to take leaps but rather baby steps.I love that they are re-releasing classic games and bringing more to past characters but I feel like that's their main focus.Although,I can't wait to play the new Super Smash Bros.

This was much better than the E3 presentation. I think I may prefer this format to the e3 conference format going forward. It's less ackward, and I like getting to see different Nintendo Staff presenting this stuff!

well, if you think about it. The smaller version has some perks in that it is more mobile, and the circle pad pro fits on it. But in other words, yeah I am also kind of mad, but I wont trade my old one in for the new because I have a bunch of cool 3rd part accessories for my current 3ds

Yeah I'm aware of that, but they were implying that software was being developed so it would be more pleasurable to play on the larger system, and thus being the case, wouldn't look nearly as good on the normal DS. Also, I own both the original DS and the DS lite and there really isn't that much difference between them. Sure the Lite is slimmer, and has a lighter screen, and a better stylus, but that is about it. The 3ds XL seems like it will actually enhance game play, with games built for it

Also, with the DSXL the screen size is great, but everything is pixelated, I'm guessing by the 7 seconds of video we saw that this won't be an issue?

Black and White 2 look awsome and so dose New Super Mario Bros. 2 and i LOVE the kirby collection. but the 3ds XL, i would upgrade but if it is JUST the hardware change, nah.

At first the 3DS XL was daunting, and interesting how they didn't include a second thumb pad, but I think that was a good choice. Many games don't need a thumb pad, and if they DID put one on the XL, it would be alienating so many of the 3DS owners right now. So good on Nintendo.

I am just here to figure out if Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon are sequels or alternate universes. I am using this to see if they said alternate universe too. They didn't (Instead they said "follow-up"), so Ultra Sun and Moon might be alternate stories ;(
