Stumbled upon this video after I found my old DS lite in my attic and it had the same problem and after many hours I finally got it to work but the only problem I'm facing is no touch response but other than that everything works perfectly!😀

Hi, I have a problem...I was disassembling a nds lite for hydro dipping it, but when I was disassembling the top screen i kind of "cut" the ribbon cable...do you have any links for the replacement? I searched even on aliexpress, but I can't find them for less than €20..

I took apart a test but working console with a broken hinge. And after struggling putting all together I got this error. I handle the ribbon cabble with extra care and still broke but thanks to this video I will be able to fix my faulty DS

I'm having same issue. Still troubleshooting. Correct me if wrong but once the battery is full charged the lights turn off or do they turn green?

I have a strip screw on a GBA SP before. What I did...and it's much cleaner than what you did is use a drill bit (one that a little bigger then the screw and smaller than the screwhead. Use a cordless drill and drill into the top of the screw SLOWLY. What will happen eventually is that the top of the screw will eventually separate from its body. MAKE SURE YOU STOP IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE SCREWHEAD IS SEPARATED. (Simply drill a little bit and stop if you have to) At this point you should be able to take apart the case. Most of the screw is still on the other side of the case but if you do this cleanly a little bit of the screw should be sticking out. Use a plier to slower twist it out. This way you don't have to destroy the case. For me part of the case is mess up anyways but I now have a few spare parts.

do all DS Lites have stripped screws? because mine are also stripped

2:33 this can also be caused by blown fuses (mostly F1, the internet says, however it's mainly F2 for me)

Do you know what do for a ds lite that both screens do not turn on or are “black” but the green power indicator is on and stays on when you power it up?

So when i first got my DS lite it came on fine but the bottom screen was cracked so i bought a complete new bottom screen (both pieces). When i installed it it was not insulated and the light would flash on when i attempted to turn on. Another RU-vidr suggested adding conduction paste to two of the fuses. This did not help but now it would charge. I then saw your video about insulating the bottom screen so i did that and now i have the problem with the white screen in this video. However my top screen shold be fine since it worked when i first bought it used unless i messed it up while not insulated?

My DS lite has this same issue; bottom screen flashes and green light, then it turns off. It happened right after I completed changing the shell from a white one to a black one I bought. The ribbon cable doesn't have any burning or anything. What could the issue be?

Might try Dremeling the heads off the screws, removing large piece and unscrewing rest with pliers?

Well, i broke everything down including the top screen and put it back together making sure all ribbons were seated correctly and securely. I'm guessing i had a ribbon loose because it started up!

With my DS, i did a clear shell swap, and i was very careful with the ribbon cable, im sure i didnt rip it, but after putting it back together i have the same identical problem as shown here: green light, bottom flicker, then off. I believe theres a chance i didnt plug in the top ribbon cable all the way, i had a lot of trouble plugging that back in, but it stayed well so i left it. What do you think? Thanks!

Pick a screwdriver and a hammer and hammer the screw out of it's grip. This way the case stays in tact and you can remover the screws with a cutter or something after all the parts are apart.

I still have this problem with 2 of my ds lites which screens worked perfectly well before I took it apart and now it does this still. If anyone can help within a day that I post this please do

Fun Fact, you can jump the DS and play it with the power cable plugged in and no battery attached
