Nintendo Just SUED Palworld... 

I mean. The game was always pretty mid. It was just edgy pokemon and Palworld could've just changed their designs to not he so similar.

I don't think that's it at all tbh. Might of been one of those bureaucratic types of deals where it takes forever for one thing to get to another. Popularity wouldn't of been something that would hold them, as we've seen throughout the years.

People finished the game. Still had more players than scarlet and violet for a dang good reason. Pokémon is a joke now.

As for palworld, they have no one to blame but themselves, literally all they had to do was not copy and paste the mon model, if I had to guess Nintendo's legal team was just tied up in some other lawsuit or something coma and that's why it took so long😂

No, it's simply a genre- a monster collector game. Otherwise, Nintendo would have tried to sue ATLUS for SMT years ago. Instead, the original release for SMT5 was Switch exclusive

@@christiandubose3531 first of all how are they losing? there are a multi billion dollar company. second of all there have been multiple people calling it out for the models and you can clearly see the similarities. and there could be more to this than we know rn. yea if this lawsuit goes through it’s over for em.

Its called inspiration. Do they look similar? Yeah. But Palworld directly stole the exact models used, Pokémon changed the models they were inspired by.

@@itsj-beexd36 They took the pictures the original guy posted and saying they stole models, none of them were any different than what he posted. Add the fact, when the game was popular, they did an investigation and didn't find anything and dropped the case, hints why there's a new case. Also most the creatures from Palworld that were concerned infringement were shown months to years before the game launched into early access and Nintendo did nothing to them the whole time. Add the fact Japan's laws are different than US laws, they really do not have a case seeing Nintendo normally sues outside of Japan and not their own rival companies, there is really nothing they can do or they would of been sued for all the things they've stolen for not just Pokemon but other games as well. So that "if this lawsuit goes through" is a huge if, and even then it's not in Nintendo's favor like everyone is claiming. Doesn't matter how many billions you have if you can't even get a legit case while explaining why you didn't sue earlier with this evidence. It wouldn't be the end for Pocketpair either because at most they will have to change the models and give a percent of profits to Nintendo, which will most likely be settled behind closed doors. Nintendo is just pissed because they're latest Pokemon game didn't make the sales they were wanting so now they're pushing frustrations on Pocketpair for being successful and still keeping people playing. Tell me, why aren't they going after Craftopia, another Pocketpair game that looks a lot like Breath of the Wild, they even admitted it was heavily inspired and influenced by Breath of the Wild. It's because Nintendo doesn't have a case, so Pocketpair is safe, and we'll see an update about changed models and what not if any assets were really stolen. Now kindly stop being a hater and enjoy your "multi-billion dollar company" who is just giving you a more buggy version of the last game they made.

Design similarity would be either copyright or trademark, not patents.
