The year is 2092, GameRanx is a multi-billion dollar corporation; All 2017 employees are dead except for one Andrew. He is now the CEO of the company. All others must bow before him. But everybody refuses to call him anything but Andrew the new guy
@@liquicitizendirk2147 do you want it to charge fast or not? That's why usb C is used vs micro B. That's why phones havent used it in a while. Just charge with a 15 watt charger and if there is still issues its not because its usb C. As for portable batteries the situation is different now, plenty work.
"Don't loose your Switch, otherwise you will loose all your game saves." I'm pretty sure that is what we are least worried about when we loose our switch.
You can buy another Switch if you lose it or it breaks, the 50+ hour game saves added up between the bigger games available on the Switch kinda makes your saves worth more than the console itself.
Aiden L it would be pretty rare for people that have no switch to view this video because it's like looking at tips and tricks for a wheelchair when you don't have one. It's useless to do so.
Tip #0: If you have a A/V Receiver(at least a 5.1 one), set the audio to Surround. That way, you have a good audio. And connect the Switch to the GAME or CBL/SAT ports on the Receiver. Also, the turn on signal gets received by the receiver, which changes to the port the Switch is connected to, this is called CEC, which is a feature even PC GPUs should have by now(and surprisingly, DON'T HAVE). The TV turning on when the switch sometimes is in sleep mode is CEC too.
"I hope your really excited to NOT use them." That got me there 😂 The fact that you can't use the kickstand while charging really bugs me and I think its a huge design flaw on Nintendo's part.
As the Switch is a Bluetooth master, it probably can connect to several devices, like two Joycons. It's not an official feature but this could be a really useful Homebrew application, just like savegame ex-/importing. Hackers just gave a talk on hacking it at 34c3 in Germany. To sum it up, Nintendo fucked up again, but left more room to correct it. However, Homebrew is on its way...
I charge mine all the time while it's in tablet mode and I'm playing with it on a table. Get the $12 stand from pdp totally worth the money. If you have Icarus from 3ds you could use that stand but it makes the switch lie too far down, but the pdp stand has a lovely slot on the bottom to let the charge cord fit in and nubs to hold the switch in place.
Nintendo released an official charging stand and while initially it looks overpriced, the USB-C head on the stand has a clever spring mechanism allowing for wear/worry free placement and removal. Also much smaller than other charge stands. It's completely worth it.
BONUS TIP: If you go to settings you can configure a zoom feature, which allows you to double tap the home button to zoom in from any game or screen. You can also move around and adjust the zoom intensity, and even lock the zoom in place while you play!
How much money would it really have cost them to put a thin layer of felt on the inside of the dock. With the price of those docks i feel like this is a ridiculous oversight.
Well, there are two lines of some foam like material to help prevent the switch from making direct contact with the hard plastic of the dock. But it's poorly positioned and doesn't do much... Also, having that thin layer of felt may contribute to encasing heat given off from the switch, helping it overheat, could be why they didn't go with it?
I've personally bought a thin layer of "wool" that can stick to a surface and sticked it inside my dock ! It's soft and works well to avoid scratches :D
personally I hope that they make a upgraded stand down the line that gives a better charge rate, some padding for the tablet itself and put a heat sink in that big empty space
The docks are cheap plastic and the most expensive thing in them is the tiny circuit board that handles the HDMI, etc. Nintendo clearly created the dock as an overpriced piece of hardware and didn't bother with quality.
Nintendo switch online currently supports cloud back up of save files as well as there is an option to transfer your data from one Nintendo switch to the other. It would be incredibly silly if Nintendo didn’t let you transfer your stuff between consoles. That would very much be a deal breaker for me. In addition to the cost of a replacement console I am not sure I would be ok with dropping another 700 hours into botw or something like that.
The console wars is honestly stupid. Every console has a different purpose, but people treat them like worse version of the same thing. Example: If you want competitive online games, A switch would be a really bad idea. But if you wanted to play video games at a party and used a PC as your console, it would be a bad choice.
PC isn't considered a gaming console. And if you want to include it in the console wars then PC kicks butt in every category. Remember when console gamers were using "can't see above 30fps" and "we don't need 4k"? Well now all the console gamers want 60fps and 4k when PC already had that years ago. In addition, we have free online, cheap steam sales with AAA games becoming sub $20 in a year, and emulators for pretty much every console up to the previous generation. PS/Xbox users just try to justify their decisions whenever PC is brought up in the console wars.
otoed1 all previous gen of Nintendo consols can be emulated on a powerful pc, this includes wiiu, and plus we can run every games above 60fps, u consol peasants just dream it
Have you ever wanted to restart breath of the wild but don't want to get rid of your save? Well just make a new switch profile it takes like 2 mins and can restart breath or any other game when you open a game it asks what profile you want to start the game with. choose your second profile and bam new game and if you want to play your first save close the game and choose your main profile. Hope I could help.
@@0Moh I agree, I mean considering Discord Nitro exists the cost isn't really an issue but it's still annoying especially to countries where $20 is quite expensive
one day the nintendo switch would be like the nes to us right now and people would be like "do you remember the ds?" or "do you remember the nintendo switch?" and other people would be like "whats a ds?!"
James Parry I have a 3ds xl ,2ds xl a psvita and a Nintendo switch each one has different specs I love them all I take it in turns playing different consoles I'm 50 yrs of age I love handheld consoles most of women my age say they are for kids and my reply is I'm the biggest kid and i don't care ...for people to say that a ds whats that is crap as that has to be the longest hand held system to be sold xxx
I would recommend picking up an extra charging adapter to take with you on the go. It's easier than messing with unplugging the one from your dock, especially if you have a lot of stuff hooked up to your TV like I do.
Got mine yesterday, ZELDA IS THE BEST ! Hopefully I'll get the new pokemon too, I've been playing Pokemon yellow, and it got me back into the game again
Well thanks for the tips! My family got us one for christmas which was a huge suprise, and i just wanted to take some extra precautions. You know, keeping it clean, and safe mainly.
Even when the Nintendo Switch is docked, you can still plug into the headphone jack and it will automatically switch the sound source from the HDMI to the audio jack of the console. Plus, you can also adjust the volume via the quick menu. So if you plan to use a Bluetooth headphones with the console, a Bluetooth audio transmitter is a good addition for the Nintendo Switch.
Great video brother. Found some amazing things I definitely did not know before. Thanks. I do have one thing to add however. Something I did not know right away anyway. Undocked and in sleep mode my battery runs down blazingly fast. It took me a while until I learned you can hold down the power button at the top for 5 seconds and get a menu to fully shut down the console. That saves the battery.
Did you realize once you sign into an account, look one the Nintendo news and a new article will appear, and it shows all sorts of games for the Switch in the photo! Including AC
I think if they had a little bit of more R&D for these small things it would've been more polished but I really love having mine and being able to use it anywhere.
What are you talking about? It's a Tegra X1 from the Nvidia Shield HOME CONSOLE. They put a very powerful "desktop" processor inside of a tablet that is thin, light, and quiet.
Me neither but I wanted to see if it has a Easter like the gamecube. Example hold the Z button on your controller as the console power up and it will do a toy jingle instead of a normal GameCube jingle and do it with four controllers a puppy jingle will replace it
A statue of a man and a statue of a woman stood looking at each other for hundreds of years out in a park. One day a wizard, feeling sorry for the statues, brought them to life for 30 minutes. Right away, the two of them ran into some nearby bushes and you could hear all kinds of strange sounds and moans from there. After a while they came back out, giggling. The wizard told them "You have another 15 minutes left, if you want to have another go." The statues looked at each other and the male statue answered "Fine, but this time you hold the pidgeon and i'll shit on it."
8:35. I second this. Instead of buying a "Pro" controller, just buy another pair of Joycons and now you'll have a total of four controllers to play Mario Kart Actually, the joy cons are more Pro because they are so versatile. The "Pro" controller is more like a "Classic" controller
David Navarrete or buy the Hori Pro Controller of your unto wired controllers for your dock. It's officially licensed by Nintendo and it's only $30 bucks.
I'm already considering it, but it's hard to find a good review that actually gives detailed information about the sticks. They usually say "They feel great" and nothing else Also, I think it doesn't have rumble support My plan is to wait until holiday for the Snes30 Pro and see how well it performs before choosing a controller
No, it doesn't. No HD rumble, no NFC support, and the controller overall feels kind of weird. I bought one and promptly returned it the next day. I later got one from GameWill on Amazon and I like it so far. It even has turbo, though I haven't really used it. Though it's the same as the Hori controller, no rumble and no NFC amiibo support. It's a decent one though, even works with PC, I think.
The sticks on the pro controller are much smoother than the joycons. The joycons aren't bad though I was surprised, the pro controller is just much better. Didn't help I had a bad right joycon right out of the box, QC on the joycons are horrible, had to send it in to get fixed/replaced.
Whoda thunk a piece of hardware that runs games and uses display power would have less battery life than controllers that literally only use power for inputs. Magic, huh?
Even tho , it still feels half-baked... :( Nintendo probably we're TOO excited to show it off, then they we're like : Nintendo : WE CAN'T WAIT ! WE CAN'T WAIT ! LET'S BAKE IT ALREADY !! Nintendo staff : At what degree ? Nintendo : Mmmmm...50° !! Nintendo staff : No ! That's barely even ba- ! Nintendo : SHUT UP ! I SAID 50° !!! Nintendo staff : How about the Legend Of Zelda : Breath of the wild ? Nintendo : 1000° degree ! Nintendo staff : What ?? Nintendo : DO IT !
Auto Brightness I dont know about Switch specifically because I dont have one and played not too much portably, but in many phones, it actually consumes more battery than setting the brightness you need because the lighting sensor/camera has to be turned on constantly. People think auto Brightness is meant to save battery but no, it is just to not surprise you with a shining screen right after you turn on the device.
That joycon strap attachment sliced my finger when I first used it and went to take it off. Had no idea the little lock was there and the metal inside the joycon itself is was bit me.
By the way, another cool thing you can do with the Switch, is that you put an Alaskan area code and they will not charge you tax, but i have not tried out this theory myself.
Wish I watched this when my gf and me first got the Switch. When we were putting on the strap for the first joycon it was easy. The second one wouldn't connect. This was before we had any idea there was a lock button and Nintendo didn't mention this in any instructions. Then my girlfriend was like, "You just gotta force it in." And I was like, "Pretty sure nah." and she was like, "No, look!" and JAMMED IT IN the joycon. It kinda hurt my feelings. Now when I connect the joycon to the switch to play portable it's all wobbly and shit. So annoying.
Thanks I needed this, I just got one for Christmas. I just have one question does that also go for DLC on the switch. Meaning if I download DLC can I share it between profiles
My brother and i have a Switch and it's pretty good. And plus, we always take care of the Switch and not once have a scratch when we place or even take it out of the dock. That's a good thing, because i know that the issue would be easily fixed by carefully taking the Switch and not let anything goes out of your way. ;)
Im trying to save money for it but i do have a realy good gaming pc and i play breathof the wild on it(Im not lying its through a emulator called cemu wich emulates wii u)

I recently bought a Switch and was getting ready to return it when I saw a video that said no Bluetooth headphone support. Luckily that was patched years ago now. I solved the problem of the dock potentially scratching the screen by putting two small pieces of athletic tape (cloth tape) on the little raised places on the dock. Also kudos to Dbrand. It just goes to show how good of a company they really are. They didn't have to say anything but they chose to.
*when you keep watching switch videos despite not having a switch hoping all this knowledge will make you a nintendo master the day you have enough money to buy one*
