Hey Bob, just want to say that you are doing a service to future generations by providing this footage of old game consoles. Especially in cases like this where there were major differences in the console between regions, it’s really cool to get this look of game history.
Your original Famicom unboxing is such a classic. I remember watching it in 2014, when I was around 12. I really appreciate the effort you put in your videos. It helps us to better understand Nintendo's history and incentivizes us to look for more and more information about this great machines. Also, you helped me to learn some basic English back in the day. Greetings from Brazil!
I'm gonna cry. I remember watching the original in 2012 I was in 8th grade and these were my favorite videos, Ive watched the whole series, thank you Bob for everything you do and for continuing the channel for us niche fans all these years later. The nostalgia is unreal
Thanx, thanks, thankks, Bob! This is by far my most favoritEST console ever. No competition. Who's with me!? I don't know how many times I saw your original video, probably lots of those views are mine, no kidding. Good idea, not to overflow the video with two consoles. I do like this manga thingy and I really wanted to see that in HD. Now I am gonna do it with gusto
Taking apart our electronic toys is something I think was unique to our generation. It was the peak of the merging of electronic and mechanical entertainment. Everything before it was too cluttered with tons of different components, everything after was pretty much plastic that covers a couple tiny circuit boards. We could actually see how out stuff worked...
Japanese Channels 1 and 2 audio are in the American FM band 95.75, and 101.75 MHz, so if you plug in your Famicom to your TV, and put your radio close to it.
I never really liked the original Famicom's physical design, so it kind of blew my mind when I realized that the much-loved Super Famicom's physical design is essentially a very refined iteration of the Famicom. Just one more reason to appreciate the SFC, I suppose! Here I notice that the bottom of the Wii Mini vaguely resembles the bottom of this original Famicom, right down to the texture. That parallel doesn't inspire quite the same appreciation, go figure.
As you might know I rewatched the first video like multi-million times, let me know in any form you like when you did it. I Didn't expect it to happen that soon🔇.
