You just arrived at Nioh 2's NG+.. This video will guide you on what to do first in order to start strong and competent in your endgame journey. #Nioh2 #NG+ #DreamOfTheStrong
This guide is so much better than all the youtube videos out there showing off their orange gears and maximum damage, which are largely unrealistic for the most players. Kudos
Thank you SO much. This is actually such a well crafted video. (no pun intended) You don't just say what to do, you explain everything. You tell us WHY we should do it. You take your time so even idiots like me can follow along without any trouble. You even talk about all potential scenarios a player might experience like how you explained why the inheritable from the spear wasn't transferring to the Dual Swords. You didn't have to do any of this. You made this video purely out of your own volition, helping new players through what is definitely one of the most overwhelming parts of this game. It is stuff like this that help not only new players, but help make this community a better place. I really appreciate this video, and once again, thank you. I rarely ever favorite videos. This one is going in my favorites for sure.
You’re welcome. I also have no idea what to do when I transitioned to my first NG+ I just learned things as I go. The Nioh 2 community is really helpful especially in the discord servers. Now that i have collected some knowledge about how the game’s system works, I decided to make this video so I can somehow give back to the community and help those in their first NG+ playthrough. I’m glad to see that it is helping players. Thanks for your time. Happy yokai hunting.
I forgot to mention on the video that as of the current version of the game (ver. 1.13) the maximum plus item you can get via upgrade is +20. You can get to it by soul matching another plus item to your current (+1 and +1 will give you +2. Then +2 and +2 you can get +3 and so on). Also, the minimum requirement for remodeling is divine rarity with a +1.
This was one of the most informative video i have seen, best part was the text was concise and background in game music makes it much better. It will really help me in ng+
This video was exactly what I needed, simple and straight forward. Much better than all the other guides where they're talking at an insane speed and I'm lost after about 30 seconds. Thank you!
I just finished the main story tonight for the first time, excellent game. I think I’m gonna buy the dlc and then move into ng+ after I do dlcs first. This video will be very helpful
Ahhh yes, the wonderful call of the scampus from far off! Asking you to let him help you! Thanks for this, I needed a good farming ground, I’ve also been farming in the first area of the dlc with some good luck
first i saw no audio, and just few views ... i was almost jumping to another video then i decided to give your video a try : i watch entirely, i thank you for the clear tips, and you got my like !
Excellent video. I liked when you deliberately made a mistake and couldn't soul match the orange inheritable, so you could then explain why. I learned a lot :D
Glad it helped. A lot of players are coming in now to NG+ due to the release of the game on PC and the remasters on console. Goodluck on your NG+ journey.
Best NG+ explanation I've seen on RU-vid. I just finished the story yesterday and I've been scouring RU-vid for help but all I see is people flexing their orange gear. This is sooo helpful and very much appreciated, thanks alot
Thank you. It’s so good to see this guide still helping other players after 2 years. And it’s always good to see players still coming to the game. Enjoy your playthrough, the game will open up even more until you eventually reach Dream of the Nioh.
Thanks I've been wanting to continue on with N2, but it seemed to be almost too daunting of a task because I had no idea what I needed to focus on. This should really help. I have a question though. I want to use the new fists/claws weapons but will I have to wait until I play that DLC it was added with, or will that weapon type just start dropping as soon as I start NG+?
I did all my farming before in 4th region “dawn” side mission “refined man of the under world” just sell every gear you will get from there. If you have many tea utensils laying around you can also sell those they cost a lot especially divine ones.
Do you know if you can inherit attack increase on all armor pieces from gloves that have inheritable attack like you could in Nioh 1? Any suggestions with respect to soul cores and guardian spirits for Dream of the Strong? Great video
Yes you can, as long as there are no conflicting stats. Just save those gloves with attack inheritables then transfer them to each piece. Choice of soul cores actually depends on your play style. I suggest trying them all out first so you can choose better. Useful ones are kasha and gozuki.
I just got to ng+ . Idk how many times I’ll have to watch this . But I’m already stumped on the Muramasa patronage.. how do I get those two options ???
No. Any weapon type can improve the plus level of any weapon. The only restriction is that range weapons (bows, rifles, cannons) can only be used to upgrade other range weapons and only melee weapons to upgrade other melee weapons.
No. You can soul match a lower level divine into a higher level ethereal and the inheritable will still transfer. That’s why it’s important to keep all the gear with a good inheritance especially the orange ones. Gear like gauntlets with the attack stat as an orange inheritance are one of the most valuable drops to keep.
Thanks for the help. I've already beaten dream of the samurai, but I still feel like I have so much left to learn about this game. I was struggling to get an orange inheritable to transfer earlier, but I think the problem was that it was conflicting with something that was already on my weapon. I've gotten a couple to work since then. Now I have have several hours of farming to look forward to so I can forge all the stuff I need 😅😅😅
The fundamentals are still the same. In dream of the wise ethereals will start dropping and they are still the same in principles with divine gear in terms of tempering, soul match and inheritance. Only difference is that etherals have more number of stats you can play with and the +value is also bumped up and will eventually go up to +120 on dream of the nioh. You can even start to transfer the graces of ethereals.
Same principles for armor in terms of inheritables, tempering, remodeling, forging and upgrading. There will be set bonuses for armor but you need to check them all first to find what suits your playstyle then focus on those to collect.
