@@TECHOSAUR Wo Long is too fast for me. The parry is too hard. Maybe some people will like that more. Nioh 2 is more like chess and you can be stealthy and tactical before striking.
@@jinsakai409 maybe if you build muscle memory you can time the parrying right, it takes a bit of attention but it's satisfying when you do it! indeed, Nioh 2 has different approach, I appreciate that Team ninja is trying different combat styles in their games and not just copying and pasting, also what I like about Wo Long is the character creation, as you can see you can make more modifications and try different hairstyle combinations, I just hope they fix some bugs with controlling on mouse and keyboard as I have read others complaining, thanks for your comment and interaction hope you stay tuned for my future videos
Yeah, but i think that is on purpose, wo long will definitly become dlc s and 1 or 2 sequels. Tbh they are capable of much, much more. but they are just takin a step at another. What i really miss in this game , is that you cant change the weapon skills . In nioh you can play with wvery weapon skill but in wo long you need to find a good weapon .

I just finished Wo Long. Did not go into NG+ so far but im not sure if i want to. They tried something new, a Nioh/Sekiro combination and i think for the most part it does not work like intendet. If it comes down to what is the better game? It is Nioh 2 by a long shot. More enemy variety, better story (specially if you played Nioh 1). The Bosses are harder, the weapons and the combat in Nioh 2 is more engaging, you actually have skill trees that matter and the item upgrade system is much deeper. Oh, and you got like 3 times more spirit beasts. Its not that i consider Wo Long a bad game, it is just inferior to Nioh 2 in nearly any aspect beside countering and animations. Wo Long is simply a step backwards from the near perfection Nioh 2 offered in terms of combat, gameplay and long term addiction. Wo Long was too easy, to watered down in combat and upgrade systems.
They should keep Nioh's 3 stance/weapon skill mechanic in Nioh. Wo Long should differentiate somehow and it looks like it will have to be through the spirit & wizardry skill tree/system. Let's hope they double down and expand on the systems & mechanics even further in the DLCs...and they've already shown they can do it based on Nioh
I love Nioh 2, and I really like Wo Long because I adore Sekiro, so it's like Nioh + Sekiro which is a win in my book. I've only played through the demo, twice, and I'm definitely grabbing the full version. There's one thing I wish Wo Long had that Nioh has - dismemberment. A bit more visceral violence would be fantastic, I think they skimped a bit on that part.
But with Mezuki you don't go through the mist like with the Enki Yokai, also when you pass The Mezuki a hint comes out saying you do not have to beat all enemies you are passing by, instead the Enki Yokai is through the only way to proceed in the area
@@TECHOSAUR Bro i think you can confuse Gozuki and Mezuki, Gozuki you don't have to defeat to progress in the area, but without defeating Mezuki you don't finish the mission.
Yea Gozuki is definitely the first boss (Optional Boss yea but still first boss encounter) and you get a Trophy if you beat Mezuki and Gozuki in the same mission. The Enki is just a Elite enemy lol
To play wo long, you only need parry (deflect ) to win. No Ki, you can run unlimited as you can , and I think that was not a good idea to remove Ki in wolong, it makes game become easier than Nioh 😅
Nioh 2 is better.... been playing Wo Long since launch.... It's great in terms of the parrying system and the upgraded graphics... other than that I dont see the level of depth and play style customization Nioh 2 offers... not a fan of the "Wizardry" magic system either. I felt the way magic was handled in Nioh 2 was fantastic.... tedious.. but great in terms of depth. Also.... the weapons of Wo Long and the combos associated are "okay" for me... nothing really interesting about them... yeah many have different "Qi" attacks etc. Its just not interesting..... The "Fists" weapon playstyle in Nioh 2 is more fun than anything ive played in Wo Long alone lolll I actually deleted Wo Long off my ps5 yesterday... the save system is nonsense... one min its locked in.. I can exit and come back to my original spot at the shrine..... then bam... next min it restarts everything I do... its not saving correctly for me.. So I put Nioh 2 back... and I gotta say... graphically not much of a difference loll and plays better for me overall
Nioh 2 is better. Like 13 weapons, 3 stances each. It already had a better parry system and you could parry anyway, with parry animations and not a Sekiro like flash and bang. Also, dependended on your stance. Gore... You can be a ninja. I can live with boring weapons and no stances. I can live with the flashy Sekiro copy. But the lack of combo variety and the lack of gore killed it for me.
Also in Wu Long you can only have a max of 4 spells 2 weapon skills where in Nioh 2 you could put up to 16 spells/ninjutsu/items with up between 18-24 weapon skills depending on the weapon while on top of that you can assign Active Skills on your weapon skills lol. 2 transformations, 2 Guardian Spirits and Soul Cores. Wu Long was literally created to be a simplified Nioh 2 because some people didn't like all the customization and was overwhelmed.
Wo long is one of the best game i ever played this year yet...fucking love the parry system mechanics and how it forces you to parry constantly during mini bosses, regular enemies and boss fights. I have yet encounter one boss fight that wasn't pleasant or enjoyable and i'm on part 7 in the game after taking many bosses and mini bosses down by myself with no Co op. Once you learned the enemies or bosses movesets that's when the fun begins. It looks phenomenal, im really enjoying this. The animation after countered enemies deadly attacks with a follow up with the camera zooming in on the action IS JUST INSANELY COOL. Nioh didn't have that which kinda put it in the lower rank in terms of combat compared to this. Sekiro had that Zoom in on action whenever using stealth kill attacks and counter attacks after a successful parry. AND the CHARACTER MODEL LOOKS STYLISH AND GREAT!! also has a scarf wrapped around his neck like the wolf. wish the devs only made everything customizable but the main character or default character if you want, i see some character models creation and trust me ppl arent good at character creation 🤣🤣🤣. I see more female characters than male characters played by men like tf!! and those are ugly not good looking at all compared to the original character. Nioh character models though was also third person view were too small for my likes. I like third person view games with the main protagonist being as big as in WO LONG, SEKIRO, METAL GEAR, Both Resident Evil Remakes n the upcoming RE remake 4 ....yeah that type of angle.

Nioh 2 is better lol. 1st of all, the magic in Wo Long, compared to Nioh, is underwhelming. And I get it, it fits that game. But no matter how you see it, the game just has inferior magic compared to Nioh. Let's talk about weapons. The weapons in Wo Long are no where near is innovative as Nioh. Nioh literally has a whole tree for its weapons while Wo Long has for the most part 3 to 5 light combo strings with a heavy and a martial art that some are literally reused animations from Nioh.. Moving on, enemy variety. There is barely any. By part 3 of Wo Long I'm sure you've seen everything. Base Nioh 2 had more enemies that you saw for the majority of the game. We're not talking complete Nioh 2, just base. And Dream of the Strong had new enemie placements compared to ng+ Wo Long. You said the developers were targeting a less graphic game to Niohs gore. The 3 kingodms Era was one of the most bloodiest infested times of history. It was not a pretty site from what history tells us. I believe that is a step down from Nioh. Unlike Nioh, there is no "builds". Despite having Wood, Fire, Metal, Earth, and Water virtues, the core gameplay is based on your skill of deflecting. Nothing else to it. Spells will help you of course, but not as much as the ability to deflect. It's heavily based on the ability to parry. And to be honest, while some are difficult, the majority of the games deflect aren't hard once you get it down. The game has been practically simplified for a broader player experience. And that isn't bad at all, but Nioh wasn't really all that difficult to understand either. This game offers many advantages to the player in helping them get past the levels. You have 2 obstacles. The General of Man, and Lu Bu. And even then with Lu Bu you can over level yourself, and have 5 moral levels over him, as well as 2 npcs for distractions. The game is practically the easiest in terms of all soul like games. But of course Wo Long is different and approaches a different player base and there's nothing wrong with that. But it seems to me Wo Long should have been the 1st game to come while Nioh became the successor. It is still fun regardless of the comments I have about it. But if I'm going to be brutally honest, Wo Long for the most part, is a step back compared to Nioh and Nioh 2. The deflects are the only thing other than a dedicated jump button, Wo Long has over Nioh to me personally.

@@TECHOSAUR Oh yeah Wo Long most certainly has its merits that it perfects in the game. Now don't get me wrong, Wo Long is a fun, short experience for players to grasp on for the time until new stuff comes like Elden Ring The Shadow of the ErchTree or whatever it was called, though specifically I don't really care for Elden Ring, I enjoy Dark Souls III the most. Off topic, Wo Long is definitely a cool game as it comes to parrying, and other features. When it comes to world design, art, and all that stuff it's similar to Nioh and to be honest while all of that is important, we want to get down to the gameplay, cause that's what people buy these games for. For an overall "base", experience, Nioh just has more content. And I've given it some thought the way Wo Long turned out because perhaps Rise of the Ronin, team ninjas other game in development is the primary focus while Wo Long was something to give players for the mean time? I don't oppose that, they are doing great with game releases instead of waiting years for other games. The combat is nice, and fluid, it gets right to the point, not much to learn as the whole is practically given to you from the get go. I'm not a difficult guy, I hate the punish me daddy base cause for some reason they like being pushed into lockers as if they were middle schoolers being bullied by high schoolers and I'm actually pretty relaxed that the game is easy as hell. I like my games easy I don't care for a challenge, it's either the game is or isn't and for the most part Wo Long isn't. It's definitely a nice experience for the new. But to be honest it's hard to believe Wo Long would be the first anyone would play. Do I regret spending 60$? No not at all. But out of 10, and it's only because when I think of new ips from a studio unless it is a new genre, it's a successor and there is to many things they left out for this to feel like a successor. 6 out of 10. I'd explain more but it'll take a while lol. Regardless I hope everyone enjoys the experience, I still support team ninja as they haven't let me down yet will continue to buy their games that I am interested in. Now, I'm going to go rant on Resident Evil 4 remake lol
you are right making both rise of the ronin and Wo long might affect their production quality and from what i saw in the trailer of rise of ronin it seems worth to check especailly that its their first open world i assume, however i really also cant wait for Elden ring DLC SHADOW OF THE ERDTREE, its one of the most antipcated along with Cyberpunk 2077 dlc Phantom Liberty and Zelda tears of the kingdom, for me those 3 are biggest releases, but meanwile i can enjoy other games like Wo Long, i've also never finished Nioh 1 or 2 so i might give them a try, do you think its better to do so prior to Wo Long ? p.s everyone waiting on RE 4
@@TECHOSAUR yes to me if someone is picking up Team Ninjas souls like games, they should start off with Wo Long. Bleed it dry until you have been saturated, then move on to the Nioh games. Preferably 1, than 2 as the mechanics while similar, Nioh 2 adds to the formula with different mechanics. All in all great games.
9:20 that's not the first boss lol... you can maybe call the first boss being the one at the cemetery that you can avoid (if you want to), but certainly the first boss in Nioh2 is not a common youkai. The first real boss is at the end of the first mission.
@@TECHOSAUR This is not a boss, it's a regular strong enemy. Wo long's counterpart to this is the giant level 15 Tiger that you find near a corpse. It's pretty much the same concept.
To be honest my first soul game was dark souls 3 and i loved it to the point where i started to crave only souls games but then after i played Nioh 1 i quit after some missions because i felt so much difference and i didn't quite felt the same tension and excitement as i did with dark souls 3 so i just uninstalled it at the time but now that i understood that nobody can match From Software in quality I try to give them more try so I'm willing to complete all 3 Wo long, Nioh 1 & 2 !
Nioh 2 is better also while running around in Wu Long. I started to notice familiar map location that had slight changes to them that were original locations in Nioh 2. Game literally is almost a carbon copy of Nioh 2 except with Dynasty Warriors
Played nioh and I am on wu long in my opinion wu long is one of the best games I have ever played its so fun the nioh is good and hard but wu long is balanced and the animations for the finshers is aowsome this game is so addictive and fun
then team ninja should be happy that in 3 years they have improved but they ought to improve on their pc ports because many have complained of mouse and keyboard controls being buggy, but i use a controller so its ok with me
Wo long inproved with respecting and gear embedding. But same time droprates garbage. Especially for the news that ppl paid for. The trend of having to play game over each update is still present. But honestly Wo long is the least fun to replay. I put SOP over Wo long and thats even with its many flaws.
