i love you. so much. im a die hard nirvana fan and i just TODAY, got my boss ds-1 pedal and i have looked everywhere for amp settings and gear. your video found its way into my search and i am forever grateful 🙏🙏
that marauder is an absolute beaut p.s: while the DS-1 was used throughout bleach and nevermind, kurt used the sansamp pedal on in utero lol, anyways great video
@@GraysonMakesGames oh i always thought it was the ds2 stacked with the sansamp. I'm a proud ds1 owner btw, and everyday there seems to be a new reason to be glad to have bought a ds1 over a ds2. I'm thinking of buying the behringer sansamp clone. It's 25 rn
Thanks! It's a "triplebucker" from Fender - it works just like a single coil and humbucker stuck together so you can them at the same time or separately!
I thought you were supposed to have amp on clean setting with distortion pedal, you can turn your amp gain up some with the pedal?without messing up the pedal or amp?
You can do either! Having the amp on a clean channel gives you the option to swap between a clean or distorted sound using the pedal. But, using an already distorted amp tone gives you an even thicker and heavier sound when using a pedal!
@@davidwhisenant5328also don‘t forget kurt used loud Fender amps (bassman, twin reverb) which are mostly „clean“ with the edge of breakup. So when you hit the strings very hard it would push the signal into a little bit of overdrive. So it‘s not that gainy but very loud!
